"Can't claim my Bayer prize!" Update

Thanks to everyone who responded to my original post with comments, suggestions and information to my original post. I'd like to address all the questions that were asked, and let everyone know how this has worked out.

(1) The original email I received notifying me I was a winner came from a Karen Kortekaas, and I was told I needed to reply with my mailing address before April 4th. Since there was no link in the email for me to reply to, I simply hit my email server's "reply" button. Unfortunately, my reply email was returned as undeliverable.
(2) I went to the Bayer "contact" page and sent an email advising them of the problem, and asked for a different email address where I could send my mailing address. The next morning I received an email from a Dana Yanok, who apologized for the problem and advised that if I replied to her with my mailing address she would forward it to their Sweepstakes Administration team. When I replied to her email, it was....you guessed it!....returned as undeliverable!
(3) On a hunch, I emailed my mailing address to both Karen and Dana through a backup email server. That email appeared to go through successfully, and this morning I received another email from Dana advising that she had received my address and had passed it on to The Sweeps Admin team. I'm looking forward to getting my experiencedays.com gift card very soon.

The moral of the story is to be persistent (and polite), don't despair ("stuff" happens, after all!), and don't hesitate to look for help or feedback (thanks again, SA friends!).

I received an email a short while ago advising that I'd won a $500 experiencedays.com gift card in the BAYER EXTRA DAY SWEEPSTAKES, and that I need to reply with my mailing address before April 4th or the prize will be forfeited. I do remember entering that sweeps for that very prize. Unfortunately, when I attempted to reply my email was returned as undeliverable. Has anyone else experienced this same problem?

Congrats on winning a great prize! Hasn't happened to me, but here's how I would approach the problem: Double check to ensure you responded to the correct e-mail address. If there was an issue. resend. If that doesn't work, check the rules to find out who the sweeps administrator is. Since this is a Bayer sweepstakes (huge company), I'm sure they selected one of the more well known firms such as e-Prize or PrizeLogic. When you determine who the administrator is, it's easy to get contact details.

bearboss,

As suzy_q and uksarge advised, try to contact them via a different way. I don't see the Rules posted online any more but the Contact Us link suzy_q gave you provides 3 ways to contact them - email, phone or snail mail. They should be able to redirect your question to the proper contact person:

The email instructions were to "reply". The only link given was for experiencedays.com. I've already emailed Bayer and waiting for a reply, but now gonna try the FB approach. Thanks for the help!

Hi,

I tried to send a PM earlier, but I didn't go through. I won the same prize from the same promotion, and the representative with whom I corresponded was Karen Kortekaas at [email protected], of Arrowhead Marketing. Hope that helps!

Never heard of this happening. Can you get a phone number to talk to sponsor?
I would try several more times sending your address.
Did you try clicking reply and sending a message? ( Top of email they sent)
Good Luck!!

bearboss,

Glad you got through and thanks for returning to post the rest of the story. I merged your new thread with the original.

Hey arrtup3 -

Thanks very much for consolidating my update with the original post. I hope you're having plenty of luck yourself!
