Can we trust any of these sweepstakes admins?

It has been discovered that the people that administrated the McDonald's sweepstakes ripped people off. 90% of the winning game pieces went to employees who worked for the company that ran the game. Which makes me think that we can't trust any of these people any more. What do you think?

i know we have won alot of sweepstakes in the past 2 yrs. but i also know that the taco bell promo for the xbox ones was a scam because we never got any codes when we would order we called the taco bell to talk to the manager and they said each and every time they ran out which was BS the codes we found out was going to the workers so when it comes to fast food sweeps we don't really care about there is enough of real one's online.

Do you ever wonder if some of these sweepstakes are really a random draw?
I wonder that sometimes. Or, do they already know who the winners
are going to be already?

Just wondering?????

I wonder too. I've won my share of nice small prizes but I get excited over coupons. After over a decade of entering every sweeps in sight and being the only person I know who is an avid sweeper-statistically it would make sense that I would have won a prize worth over $5K or even close to it but so far nothing. Ever the optimist-I will never given up my belief that it's only a matter of time. All of the small wins get us through and are fun but I'm with y'all-I'd like to have to know the big ones are one the level.

i'm sure there's some bad ones but since I've had to do affy year after year can't complain too much

What about the really big ones though? You have to do an affy for anything over $599. What about all those instant wins that offer a $10,000 Grand Prize? I don't know of anyone that has won that on here.

I thought the Johnson's Sausage vote on line last year was rigged. The first few winners matched the votes I had counted on line, but down where our winner should have been, someone else won. I don't enter FB contests anymore, where viewers vote. ...they're strictly for advertisement , I think. Several years ago, I won a HauteLook.com $1,000 which was great. They notified me by e-mail, which all
legitimate contests OUGHT to do. No way can we contest fanatics get back to all the web sites. Too many businesses count on that, and keep their unclaimed prizes!!! In the olden days you had businesses that did nothing but supervise contests....I think they were fairer then! Nowadays the site says "We're gonna have a contest or a sweepstakes (they don't KNOW the difference)....and they make their rules.....

I have never trusted E-Prize. I think they are shady. I had a question about a win and I tried an tried to contact them to no avail. Supposedly they are under new ownership now and their customer service is supposed to be better. Makes me wonder why the change and were they ripping people off and employees relatives of the company were the winners.

Lots of times on a really nice contest, I will send them a SASE as they request for a winners list. Think I've only received a list once. Not a really big deal, since one that I did request the list (Frito Lay/Pepsi/Bi Lo's) I happened to win one of the big eggs. But it would of been nice to see if some others won in my area also, since it was a regional contest.

It do make us wonder when some of the prizes are super big and we don't see any winners posted??

I think this is an interesting point to bring up, but there are two sides here. I have been sweeping for about 10 years, on and off, and have never won anything worth more than $1000. I think it is the optimist in me that tries to just be happy for those that win big, and hope someday it will be me. My cousin managed a McDonalds for a number of years, and it was a busy one on the outskirts of Boston. They never "hooked up" employees or family with all of the codes, but I have seen others that do. We have gone to McDonalds on the first day of Monopoly, and they say they are sold out of any items with codes...yeah right!

I have known a few people that win big prizes, sometimes I think they swallowed a horseshoe, lol. I have also gone back and forth with some companies who didn't hold up to their end of the bargain. This was a learning experience. I will say this though, there are far more reputable people that hold a good, honest sweeps, than those who are shady or fake. Sweeping is a choice, and we all choose to do it. I will continue sweeping for as long as I am able. It keeps me busy, keeps me positive and keeps me hopeful. This sweeps site gave my mother and I far more than any single win could ever do. (Although it would be nice to get a little trip, lol)

I wish you the best of luck on all your sweeps, and with any luck, a big win will come along for you soon! Take care and God bless!

I don't enter the fast food sweepstakes. The ones I do enter are the HEB supermarket sweeps on the receipt. I don't like to enter the fast food ones. Who knows how those are done.. can't trust them honestly.

I won a $10,000 on an instant... was the Open My Safe a while back...shocked me alot

I was leary until I got the check and the bank verified the funds.. but it was legit~

I don't know about all sweeps, but I do know that I won a wonderful trip from Subway to New York last year, all expenses. So I do know some people win on some. It's a shame when the employees take the entries at some of the places and if they do, they should be reported and charged accordingly.

I always wonder about the grocery store (Kroger, Target, etc) and Restaurant surveys for chance to win a gift card. i try to enter as often as I can, but never have heard of anyone winning. Anyone had luck with those?

I have never had a problem with E-Prize. I won several sweeps sponsored by them last year (including a $1500 one) and there response to all questions both on that win and another were prompt and thorough. I don't know why they changed to Hello World, but I for one was unhappy about the change.

To everyone who has posted here, I sent you a pm to let you know that this thread has been moved here from the Winner's Circle.

As requested by site owner/admin, Ken, we are keeping the Winner's Circle just for wins as it links to the Home Page. For discussions, questions and other purposes, please check the forum to find the most appropriate place to post.

TY!

You just have not won one of them I have and so have some of my sweeper friends. I have been doing this over 25+ years and there is not much that I have not won.
