can someone explain Blogs sweeps to me?

not sure i get the blog sweeps yet. I've read some. It's a simple as you have to join, get a screenname for each site, post a comment about the product?
have anyone won things..are you notice via email or is it posted on that website?

You have to read the direction/instructions carefully.
Sometimes you have to go back after the contest to see if you are a winner.

I have won numerous of times - the odds are really kind of nice

I just started entering them - some are really neat! You don't need an account for most. A few you need to subscribe to or register. I typically don't enter those unless it is something I really, really want.

Most of the time in order to enter you just need to post a comment - you can be 'anonymous' but make sure to put your email addy in the comment box. Just follow the instructions and what you need to post. A few blogs have entry forms just like any other sweeps.

I have won three times so far and all the items I won are very unique and nice!
 
Read the rules on the blog contests. Many folks don't bother and post "enter me" or something else stupid. If they ask you to look at a site, do that and find something nice to say.

Sister has won so far:
camera
ton of hair care products
gift cards (two of them)
flat iron & hair blower
two DVDs
one game.

My darling, wonderful DEAR husband has seemed to spend more money on the sites than he's entered their contests... he's banned from entering them anymore :nono: :laughing: :laughing:

hmm well at least he knows what he did. :laughing: I got banned from what and have no idea what I did wrong. And the site admin told me that my ip address inst on thier banned list???? :scratch:
 
Also, on blogs if they tell you to click to a store or site and come back telling them what your favorite product is (for example), do it. Many of them say they can tell if you actually did or not. In other words, don't just copy what someone else chose...this should help your odds!

:cussing: ohhh no. I do that alot. awww man Now my sweeps time will be longer.
 
Ok, so i entered a few, the ones i'm concerned about is where you have to check back. I'll never remerber which ones I enter to check in on...thoughts?
 
Have you tried bookmarking them? When you name your bookmark, you could include the date you have to return to check.

You don't have to sign up as a member for all blogs sites; and, for those that you do, you are usually signing up for the blog community of blog sites.

I posted the winners' list for Blogspot.com blog sites under "Winners' Lists" here in the SA forum.

Some ask you to put your email address right in your comments substituting "at" for "@" and "dot" for "." to prevent spamming! :scratch:

That is the craziest thing I've ever heard. Your email is still out their for the public to see, and I think people can figure out how to put the email back together! Uh duh!

I won't put my email in my comments. I'm already leaving them my aol address in the form, and that's all they need.

I've won many prizes from blogs; but, one time, a lady contacted me at my aol address saying that I won, but she didn't know how to contact me! :scratch:

So, I just sent her my information back.

I don't know why they want you to put your email address in your comments when you're already giving them a contact email address in the form.

Go figure!
