Those of us who have been sweeping for awhile know that there are other sweepstakes sites out there. There is a large, well-known site that we refer to as OLS rather than using the site's actual name. Many of our members have spent time at that other site but have decided that they prefer to do their sweeping here. Other people continue to visit multiple sweep sites, which is fine with us.
SA and OLS are both websites that attract sweepers, but they are in no way related.
We believe that SA is the best sweeps site on the web and we hope you'll agree! If you have questions about how to get the most out of this website, please ask. The folks here are terrific and are quick to help fellow sweepers. Welcome to SA!

Thanks so much for answering and explaining.
I was just wondering since the 2 sites seem to be quite similar.
I am NOT a member of the other site and I was not impressed with it at all.
I did register and ask a few questions and was met with immediate hostility and accused of asking questions in an attempt to attract "sympathy" so that another member would pay my fee to join.
Seemed kind of hostile and very unprofessional at the other site.
I am SO glad that I found THIS site and I am very pleased with the responses I have received here and VERY please with all the features of this site!!!

rosetea - your experience is the norm there. I spent my 1st 6 months interacting with other members only through the notes, not really getting there were forums! :smt003
When I did discover them, I was constantly having to mediate (well, I chose to because I don't like dissension) because a lot of the members would read something and CHOOSE to take it in the most negative way possible :smt014
9 times out of 10, the OP (Original Poster) would post to be helpful, but some people can't seem to leave their baggage behind and choose to see the worst I guess :smt018
I didn't realize how negatively the prevailing attitude there affected me until I came here, and was immediately accepted!!! What a difference!!! :smt007 :smt007 :smt007
anikka - trust me, unless you like to see cat fights, you wouldn't like it there.
I'm just soooooooooooo glad that I'm here, and figure there were a few life lessons and sweeps info I needed to learn there - the biggest one being I should NEVER allow negativity sway me and allow it to color how I view the world!!! :smt004

Wow, and here I thought it was just me. That's bad that you had such a bad experience there too amy.
I just HATE negativity and conflict.
Here is it so nice!!! Everyone is friendly and helpful and I just love this site!
I find myself on here every chance I get to enter sweeps and browse through the forum.
I am still new to this and still learning, but I really enjoy this. I can do this at work when things are slow and also at home when I have spare time too!
PS: I won a T-shirt on that Castrol contest already too! :smt003

We don't like to bash the other site here. They have their strengths too. Some people are quite happy there and I am happy for them.
