can i ask a few random questions?

how long did it take to get your first good win ( cash, trip car, appliance)?

do u ever get random prizes in the mail that you did not know about?

is the oneclick website bad (spam) ?
any other website to be careful with?

the "hits" what is that? is it better to enter the sweeps with low "hits" i assume its how many ppl have entered through SA?
how many sweeps do you enter in a day...is 100 a lot?

thanks yall!

I started sweeping 8 years ago and this year was my first great win - a 46" tv.
I have come home to find surprise gifts -an air purifie then a knapsack filled with batteries, flashlights, all emergency equipment - that was a wonderful surprise win.

I stay away from Woman's Day mag sweeps, they always crash or affect my computer in some way.

One click - don't do it - you'll never get rid of the spam

I enter about 100 sweeps/day - combo of daily, instants, 24 hour - then the one entry or weekly will add to it.

Good luck.

:sunny: As I wasn't too organized when I first started out many years ago, I didn't win alot of prizes. Almost as soon as I joined SA I started winning. Have won tons of great prizes over the years. There is no correct number to enter, but it stands to reason that the more you enter the better your chances of winning. I get surprise wins delivered regularly.
You are correct about the Hits number. It is the number of SA members that have clicked the link. You have to remember though that it does not reflect the amount of all the people that have entered. There are many of others that are entering on their own and through other sweep sites.
Sweepstakes Plus and Roboform definitely can make entering easier and quicker.

i just started to sweep in june have won 300$ from bloomingdales, peet coffee for a year, fruit snacks for a yr,40$ visa, movie tickets, jeans and alot of different things..not a BIG win..but i figure i need to put some time in..this is not a hobby for the impaitent
EZ win never works for me and i avoid the ones that dont seem to have a sponser, they seem to have huge prizes with no backing..also stay away from the survey ones and games..dont trust nor do i have the time
i enter 150-200 a nite with wklys instant dailies and my favorite enter once and forget,,that adds up to 4-5 hrs a nite sometimes more depending on how many sites i check and how much i chat..but i am disabled and retired.if i was still working or kids were little there'd be no way
its good to ask questions and read the hints and articles about sweeping..learn the tax laws..make sure what you might win is something you are willing to pay the taxes on..i have to check myself..i dont want an 1800.00$ expresso maker enough to pay taxes on it!!anyway hope you are a little less confused :sunny:

My first win 3 years ago was a $250 gift card to Rite Aid. I took a 2 1/2 year hiatus and started back with the hobby this spring and in June I won my biggest prize, a $1700 stay at a resort in Minnesota. I've also won $1000 cash in August, several $100 gift cards, a lot of free product coupons and a lot of other miscellaneous stuff.

do u ever get random prizes in the mail that you did not know about?

Not as often as some, and not as big as some, but yes. A lot of companies will post a winner's list somewhere and don't send any notification, so things show up. Sometimes the ones I do know about still surprise me though, because there can be a long delay between a win and when the prize actually shows up.

is the oneclick website bad (spam) ?
I avoid it. I'm fairly picky about which sites I trust, and that is on my no list.

Its just the count of who has clicked through from here... I've won stuff with a low hit count from here and with a high one. It can give a "grain of salt" estimation of the popularity of a sweep, but it's obviously not painting a complete picture as there are a lot of other ways someone can land on and enter the sweeps linked from here.

There are some good tips in the newbie section on how to gradually ramp up without getting overwhelmed.

I don't have a set limit for a day, my base is to get through instants, which is usually ~100 that I'm actively entering. I usually try to get through as many of the newly listed for the day stuff and if I don't enter them, I'll at least pre-screen and sort them into my categories for later entry and if I've been slacking and not staying on top of things, I rummage through the expiring stuff to make sure I'm not going to miss out on anything. I'm pretty close to "caught up" right now, so I'm mostly doing instants and hitting new stuff as it comes in and spending a couple hours a day with it.

1] how long did it take to get your first good win ( cash, trip car, appliance)?

My biggest win {$10,000} took me 6 years from when I started entering online - I snailed in the 80's. It took me 6 months to even win, and that was $100 for voting.

2] do u ever get random prizes in the mail that you did not know about?

Yes. Sometimes you even have to do a bit of sleuthing to even figure out where it came from, since they don't always tell you!

3] is the oneclick website bad (spam) ? any other website to be careful with?

Many sweeps have loose privacy policies, and we are all responsible for reading them, along with the rules, before we commit our info. Just like SA/SP doesn't control how sponsors/JA's run their sweeps, neither do they judge legitimate sweeps that post winners - which 1Click does. I did a few searches, using 1Clickprizes, 1Clickprizes.com, TomorrowAMillion.com, and their parent company Surfin Mouse LLC. I found no complaints.

4] the "hits" what is that? is it better to enter the sweeps with low "hits" i assume its how many ppl have entered through SA?

Hits - as noted, SA is not the only way to get to sweeps links, so it really shows you a snapshot of a sweeps popularity. How many I enter varies, I mostly focus on IW & daily sweeps with lots of good prizes drawn daily/weekly/monthly, with a few others mixed in.
