I lived in Colorado, now in Vermont, but if you choose to head into the mountains the best time for visitors is late June or early July. Perfect for camping, and the wildflowers are everywhere. See Crested Butte and Gothic, it should be on everyone’s bucket list. I could go on and on. Congratulations! I hope I get a win like this when I retire so I can see all of the US on the cheap.
