*Brides.com Sweep*

Don't blame ya girl...good luck!!! Got my fingers crossed for ya!!

Thanks Ping girly...

I did the essay in 250 words and Then I went and re-read the rules and winner selection... Says that winner will be based on the essay being compelling and full body photo of you and the fiance in a representing Modern Bride, Elegant Bride type of look... I was like "wth, dang it... we don't have any really classy pictures...

That just kind of made me want to go take some Sears pictures or some engagement photos or something... I sent them one of my fiance, daughter and I at Disneyland over the summer.... And I hope my essay was "complelling" enough,... lol... now I'm all stressed out... my fiance wants me to enter for every friggin' wedding sweep out there....

Did you ever pick out your dress? I was on the Stanley Hotel site the other night and was looking at their wedding sites (don't know why...) but they showed this lady with a hanging flower bouquet ~ have you ever seen one? It was so pretty!

Yessss Ping I have.... I loveeeee those type of bouquets... They call them cascading...
I think I want to do something like that but keep going back n forth... I know I want some bouquet jewelry (which I'm doing myself, thanks to Michaels craft store)... I want some starfish rhinestone studs and then hot gluing them to long pins and sticking them in the bouquet...

I want to wrap the bouquet in a jeweled silk fabric... something like this one....

What do you think? I want to do the colors: yellow (bright) fushia, some white..... ????

Thanks guys.... I would absolutely fall out if I ever get that call that we were picked as the winners of a free wedding... what a prize... pleaseeeeeeeee sweep gods here my want.t........ tee hee :sunny:

That type is beautiful and I love the colors...but I would have to see them together to see if the blend would work well...I wouldn't want to distract from your dress...you have the bridesmaids dresses that have all the different colors in them already also. But with the beach and the sand you might could get by with the extra color. Like I said just my opinion. I just like simple a lot of the time. I would just want more attention drawn to your dress and your beautiful face!!!

That still isn't the bouquet that I was talking about though...this one was literally hanging...I wish I could find a still picture of one ~ it was just so unique. I have never seen anything like it. I know you are unique...your special!

I like this one too ping... these are some of the colors... the yellow and fushia... I was also thinking of maybe some type of tropical leafs to incorporate in the bouquet too? What do you think???

Now that is really pretty...prettier than I think it would be if the colors were reversed...don't know I think that though. I am so weird! I think some tropical leaves would be pretty...there are so many choices now! I love the calla lilies!!!

I do know what I am thinking though...when I got married the "rule of thumb" was no color in the bridal bouquet. The ladies that sold me my wedding dress kept on telling me that. No color...don't take away from the dress. I guess it stuck and I am replaying it out...I will probably tell my kids the same thing when they get married...so old fashioned...sorry!!

ping.. i wanted an all white bouquet too.. but my mom told me that my bouquet has to be the colors of the wedding... now i'm confused........ oh well.. i'll make a decision later.. i still have 1yr and 4mo.... geezzzzz I need to win a wedding so i can get hitched sooner.... :sunny:

Have you seen my wedding pictures? My stinking wedding bouquet was huge and heavy!

I was trying to use photobucket to post them the other day in the "what do you look like" thread and I can't get them on here... I keep doing something wrong...I scanned a couple of them into my photo program on my computer and then I was trying to get them with the browse feature and I couldn't ~ what am I doing wrong???

copy the pix to your desktop... go to photobucket, login, in your "photoalbum" (with photobucket) , make sure you're clicked under "images from my pc" tab... from there, click "browse".... find the jpg file on your desktop, click that. and when you have all photos youre ready to upload... click the "upload" button... then you will get all the codes you need to post in the forums here... use the image codes.....

did you get all that girl? lol...

Okay...got them to my desktop...finally! Working on the rest. Remember...this was 92' so I have the happening shoulderpads ~lol!!! I still love my dress though...We had a really small wedding...in fact I think my flowers were bigger than my whole wedding!

Back to trying to post these three pictures I have picked out ~ lol...I might be here all night at this rate!
