you know those spam emails everyone's been receiving from international lotteries. when i woke up today, I had about 40-50 emails from my email provider saying my email was spam and it was sending out those email scams that we all received at one time or another. It looked like I was the one sending out the emails and they were being rejected and sent back to my email address.
If this happens to you you should change your password, i called up my provider and they said my email is NOT spam, he checked all my settings, everything was ok. since I changed my password , everything seems to be ok. I'll let you know tomorrow if i received any more.

That's awful. I get those too, and I try and turn them in to the FCC. Don't know if it does any good or not, but it makes me feel better.

Thumbelina ... I don't post much to the site because I don't win much ... lol. But I read many of the postings. I especially appreciate your "Be Careful" and the suggestion on how to deal with Spam. I'm getting more spam by the day, it seems, and reporting it to Yahoo doesn't seem to help much, probably because many of the spam mails are coming from abroad. Notwithstanding, thanks. Every hint toward safeguarding our mails helps.

Update.

I checked today, and I am happy to report not one "international lottery scam" has made it to my email. What a relief. I was getting very tired of those.
I'll keep you updated, and if I hear of any new ways to approach this , I'll keep all of you informed.
Don't ever be afraid to contact your service provider, they are there to help you resolve the problem.
