Bacardi stein question

I received my bacardi stein today but I had to pay $7.35 for postage :cussing:. Did anyone else have to pay? I've never had that happen before and I was under the impression it was a prize so I don't understand why I would be the one to have to pay the postage. Anyone know how to get in touch with them?

thanks in advance

Tiffany

Nooooo...I received mine about a month ago and it was free and so was the shipping....maybe you can post the question on their facebook page....It is a very nice Stein but you should not of had to pay ...sorry =(

Tiffany,
That's a Facebook win and no you shouldn't have had to pay postage. I'm looking at the box my Barcardi stein came in and it's a printed USPS mailing label with Delivery Confirmation. The label also says "US Postage Paid" where you would normally put a stamp.

Here's their facebook: http://www.facebook.com/bacardi

My box says postage paid also but theres a yellow sticker on the box and it says postage due $7.35. I've won about 40 prizes since I've been sweeping and never had to pay a dime so I'm just really confused. I sent them an email but I doubt I'll get a reply

 That is a really odd one. I didn't pay any postage on that one or the thousands of other prizes I have won over the years. I can only guess that maybe there was an error on the sponsors part. Something like they printed a label without paying the postage. Definitely contact them.

Not only did you have to pay but the shipping was more than the prize?

Something is off - maybe your mail carrier was confused? Or did you have to go to the Post Office to get it?

The Post Office is who I'd contact - especially if it was your mail carrier!!! :nono:

Thanks everyone. I think the mail lady possibly did get confused. The usual mail lady was on vacation so she was in for her and I think she was new at the job. I can't easily get to the post office so I just let it go. I've gotten 5 packages since then and haven't had to pay anything so oh well I guess
