Arkansas under a Winter Storm Warning...!

Finally...it looks as if my area will get dumped on tonight and throughout tomorrow. Weather forecasts are calling for 5-10" of the white stuff here. As of 7pm, it is sleeting now outside. I went earlier in the afternoon and purchased $287 in groceries. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

 How long are you going to be snowed in for? Ok, let me try to help you out here. Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways, milk, bread, peanut butter and a few bottles of water will get you through the 12 hours before you can get to the store! When was the last time you had 10" of snow at one falling? I guess Arkansas isn't known for their snow removal crews!

Remember, snow is only an emergency situtation if you didn't stalk up on chocolate! But, a true chocoholic is never caught short! :headbang:

It was 60 degrees here today. No snow in sight. The great New England Glacier is shrinking and may totally disapear by the date March 15, 2008! :sunny: Enjoy your snow!

They have upped our amounts up to 8 - 10 inches also ~ dang it! I am so sick of winter!!! Saturday we spring forward whether winter likes it or not! I can't wait!!! My kids want a snow that they can actually play in, so that would be the only reason I will be happy if we get more snow.

Have I said how much I hate cold and winter yet????

We are too!! I am so freaking excited. We are suppose to get only 1-3 inches but, it's snoooowwww!! I hope we do get the snow and it's not another tease.

Stay warm everyone.

Miki in the northern part of MS.

Snow is serious business here in Arkansas. The last 10" I had was...er, wait...wrong topic. The last 10" snowfall I remember took place when I was but a kid. Faulkner County (where I live) Snow Removal Vehicles consist of two 4X4s with snow blades attached to the front bumpers.

It is now 12:55am Friday morning...and there is about an inch of snowfall, although it is currently snowing. The Weather Service keeps saying that the snow is on the way for my area -- yeah, right. I've heard that many times before, only to be let down with no snow. I'll keep you posted on the white stuff here.

Did you lose power? Is your internet connection severed? Are you snowbound for the next 7 weeks? What's going on? It's already 57 degrees here and the birds are chirping away! :sunny: I'm afraid to say this, but could this be............Spring? :booty"

I just got my alert from the weather channel on my phone and checked online. We are now expected to received 4-6" today. I am so dang happy, just hope we don't lose internet or I will go through withdrawls, lol. Anyone want to bet I get sick this weekend? I will be out playing in the stuff!

Oh, how I miss those three to five feet of snow. Now, I'm starting to forget what it looks like!

Yeah sure you are! You are loving today like I am! Tell the truth!

Sticks, to shovel snow, you take the shovel in your hand, (Big blade on the bottom, handle in your hand), then, push the shovel into the snow, filling the blade scoop with snow. Lift. Say ouch as you strain your back. Now toss the snow to the side. Repeat until you are crawling to your front door, sobbing from the spasms in your back thinking how the last time you had 10 inches, :nono: Well, you can take it from there.

Oh, I know the problem, you went to the grocery store and forgot to stop at the hardware store for a snow shovel! Not to worry, by Sunday, it will have all melted and you will once again be among the snowless! :headbang:

It's pretty bad when you buy all the snowsuits, gloves, hats, gloves, and boots for the little ones and they don't get to use any of it!

Now, someone needs to explain to Miki that you will not lose internet connection from 4 to 6 inches of snow; and to InTheSticks that there are these things called coupons!! :crazytongue:

You know we had a lot of snow this winter. I keep forgetting you are more coastal and get more rain than snow!

We are getting rain this weekend. I really hope we have seen the last of the snow for winter. :headbang:

I went to the store the other day and had gotten a bunch of really nice freebie coupons in the mail in the last week so I had saved them all to the last of the cart and put them all up on the slider at once with the coupons on top ~ I want you to know that the checkout girl "huffed" at me! I was so mad! That is her job ~ I am sorry that she doesn't like to check the coupons but it is my right as a consumer to be able to use them! I swear everytime I have them I am going to search for her!

I've only been out here for just under five years now. I used to live right off of Route 84 in Milford, PA. So, I'm used to getting tons of snow. It's just been fairly mild here the past few years; but, when it does snow, it can get real nasty out here surrounded by water from all the coastal storms. Then on top of that the wind can be unforgiving and cause very high drifts closing down roads. I miss that nice slow-falling puffy snow. Most of the time, out here, the snow and rain are going sideways at 60 or so miles per hour! :crazytongue:

They're all a bunch of lazy arses now! When's the last time you saw one smile. How do you like having to check your receipt everytime to see what they screwed up on it or having to take apart take out orders to find out what they screwed up on it this time......... :cussing: If these idiots can't do their jobs right then they shouldn't work there. Maybe, cleaning bathrooms would be better for them since it's full of arses already!! :crazytongue:

Nobody wants to work anymore ~ I know working with the public can be a pain ~ I did it for years, but if you can't do it don't! That woman at Rite-Aid tried everyway she could last week to knock me out of that free gift card for transfering the prescription also :cussing:

:cussing: Where's all the snow? That's what I wanted to know this morning when I woke up...expecting the promised (and muche talked about) 6-8" of the white stuff! Grrr...howl! NO CHOCOLOTE FOR THE LOCAL WEATHERMEN! Wolfie, quick, draw up a Royal Decree. It snowed here, it pittled, it spit...but in the end, we only received about 2 inches of snow. Another letdown. Where's my Paxil?

Oh, and btw, Mrs. Wolfie -- I know what a snow shovel is. I saw one once on a cable t.v. show I was watching. :crazytongue:

They still swear ours is coming, but I'm beginning to wonder also...we have a light covering on the grass and the roads are clear...lol! I could even drive right now, so it isn't very bad!

I have to say that it is really high humidity though ~ my sinuses are killing me! I am ready to pull my own teeth!

Is high humidity what is affecting my teeth? My teeth hurt too...and it's maddening. Makes me want to clench and unclench my teeth. I guess my sinuses are acting up too.
