This thread is a general FB friends thread - if you want people to sign up under you for a specific sweeps, you need to start a thread:

If everyone who posts an ask votes for their fellow SA vote askers, there will be no need to bump your own thread, since the others will bump when they vote!

So please post you RTF'ed to their threads, so they can keep track of who voted for them and to bump their threads up too, thanks!

If you have a 1x ask, you are allowed to bump your thread 1x a day, to see if there is anyone who hasn't voted for you yet.

Facebook sweeping friends

Removed my FB address for the time being, until I figure this out. updated 3-9-2012


Not sure how this all works.... I use my facebook account to enter sweepstakes only. Not used for personal friends and/or family and/or Work.

Would like to request friends so I can refer you as friend when entering sweepstakes that give you additional entries for referring friends.

I just sent a message for friend request to a number of you who listed your FB address. I'm Still new at this FB friend, request friend, thing, so forgive me, or accept me, as a friend if I did something wrong. Any advise on the FB friend/friend request procedure/process would be welcome.

Again I only use my FB account to enter sweepstakes.

Hi everyone! I'd love to have some fb friends to help with sweepstakes, and I'd be more than happy to help others out as well! I'm currently trying to get friends for the Orbitz 50 Faves Sweepstakes and none of my friends are interested, so I'd love to have some folks playing that too, but I do enter all sorts of things :)

Ok... Thanks to everyone who accepted me as friend. I Appreciate it. I've replied to one of you or wrote on your wall, I think is the appropriate language.

Sorry I'm late getting back to you all, whom I sent friend request to. I go on what may be akin to binges of sweepstaking. On for hours then off for day or so. Anyway Please don't take offence.

I have NO IDEA what I'm doing on FB, or what I'm supposed to do, or not do on Facebook. It's like a foreign PLANET to me.

This may be a dumb question but... When I requested friends and you accepted my request, am I your friend also or do you have to send request to be my friend back?

Please, if I'm not responding, please give me time to get comfortable with this FB stuff.

zoom38 - I figured it out {it showed zoom in the address bar :crazytongue: } I'm pretty lost too, and with the new walls {which I HATE} I've mostly been avoiding FB except to enter the sweeps I've been entering. :whistle:

Now I have a ton of FB Friend requests, and several sweepstake app requests and sweeps friend referral requests, so I clicked ACCEPT on one or two, then find another request is for the same sweepstakes I already entered and you can only enter 1 time a day, so what do I do with all the other friend requests to enter the sweepstakes as their friend when I already entered today??? SO TOTALLY CONFUSED :cry:

I mostly ig that stuff - I keep forgetting it's there :crazytongue:

I like order, so if I see a sweeps thru FB, I look for it at SA. I like to keep track of what I'm entering :whistle:

I never took the time to go through the learning curve, I just signed up for an account years ago and learned enough to enter sweeps :crazytongue:

IF they continue in this direction {confusing/busy/annoying} I'll rethink my thought on sponsors utilizing FB so heavily.

Since everything is a tradeoff, they'll decide if turning off older/long time customers is worth the gain of younger/new customers.

Hopefully, they'll find a solution that balances those 2 groups - I've noticed more and more sponsors offering multiple entry points, instead of FB being the default!
