when they are picking the winner for the dream home HGTV? I know they are going to announce it onthe air but I was wondering if they notify the winner before that???? Thanks all
 
The rules state that the winner will be chosen on or about 02/28/08. The winner is normally informed before it's announced.
 
I was trying to keep it quiet until they announced it. They wisked me away on Friday! :laughing: :whistle:
 
I seem to remember last year, they "surprised" the winner while in a restaurant with his family. Don't know if he knew ahead of time or not but they said they had the cooperation of some of his family. I sure haven't seen any strange people sliding around on our icy roads here at the lake. LOL!
 
I wish I wasn't, but I am just joking! And, since no one in my family can keep a secret, I am sure they haven't elicited their help to surprise me! :cry:

Hostaaddict was just about right. Last year they surprised the winner in a restaurant live. They (HGTV) contacted his son about the win, so his mother and himself set up the going out to dinner bit to hide the surprise. So you won't be called ahead of time. :laughing: Anyhow good luck to all with that contest, odds are somewhere near 1 in 10 million. Last year they had over 10 mill. entery's.

Shhhhhhhhhhh. HGTV doesn't want people to know about the Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways option. They said they had to import chocolate from all corners of the world to fulfill the prize! :eat:

my boyfriend was acting suspicious a few weeks ago and i totally got it into my head that i had one the house and i was going to find out. Needless to say he was just running late!
