A few question for you more experienced sweepstakers ..

So does anyone win with only one entry? Do most of you focus on certain types of sweepstakes and or prizes..how much time do you spend each day entering? What ( besides winning prizes) got you involved originally and what keeps you playing? Have you ever had to turn down a prize?

Having just started and finding it almost a stress diversion - i am now curious about how other people became involved and just what keeps you going...

I started sweeping several months ago to try to win an iPad for my daughter, and it has really become much more than just a hobby. I think that I must spend about 4-5 hours a day entering (between work & mom stuff). I have only one 2 one-entry contests, but they were definitely worth it, as one of the prizes was a MacBook Air - one of my very first wins! I enter mostly cash contests and items that won't' hit me too hard tax-wise. I don't enter trip or car prizes because of the tax liability. Most of the sweeps that I enter are daily and instant wins. It is a stress diversion! I almost feel like I'm shopping without having to buy anything (if that makes sense!) I still haven't won that elusive iPad for my daughter, but I did win her a Sony laptop!! I wish you the best of luck!!!
 
Hi! I have been doing this nearing 1 yr. I started sweeping because I really wasn't involved in anything to take up a lot of my time since I wasn't working. I have had 3 wins from one time entries or maybe more. I believe one was a pair of sneakers, one was a ipad that I took a $500 gift card for instead, and one was a a plain up $500 gift card that was supposed to be a gas gift card but they gave me a Walmart Gas GC which I could use anywhere in Walmart. That said, two of those were actually my biggest wins! So, I guess I like the single entry sweeps! LOL :crazytongue: Have fun sweeping and GL! :wave:
 
i have been sweeping for 11 years and have won quite a few prizes from 1 time sweeps such as a wii,$800 gift bag from lucky magazine and speaking of them i have won a bunch from their 1 time entry;s over the years.$100 gift card,cheese .52 coupons from blockbuster for movie rentals.i got into this hobby by entering a nestle contest and ended up winning a nintendo sweepstakes game and from that minute on i was hooked. kandy
 
Thans guys for sharing ..i am really having fun with this so far- sometimes i just feel like i need more of a strategy than he willy nilly way i am entering now.. You guys have had some great wins! Congrats!
 
:sunny: Welcome to SA sammyjojr! I have been sweeping steady for nearly 15 years. During that time I have accumulated so many prizes that I couldn't begin to remember them all. It all started when I was a kid and won a Goofy Grape watch in a Funny Face drink mix coloring contest. I didn't really get into sweeping full speed for many years later after my family was all grown. I feel really blessed by all the thousands of wins I have accumulated. I have won from every category listed. The only thing I haven't won yet is a car or a house. Everyone benefits from my wins. My family, friends and neighbors usually ask me if I have the item you have been wishing for and if I don't have it, I will try to win it for them. I don't usually need to buy any presents, I just pick from my winnings an appropriate gift and also donate many prizes as a tax deduction. When people ask me what they could win by sweeping, I tell them that there just isn't anything that you can't win, everything is up for grabs, but in order to win you have to get at least one entry submitted. I have to say that even after all these years and so many great prizes that I still get excited when a package arrives or I open an email telling me that I have won. The key is to stay persistant, consistant, patient and positive. If you do that, I will guarantee that you will win. Best of luck to you!!
