34th Annual National Sweepstakes Convention 2023

I see that the 34th Annual National Sweepstakes Convention is scheduled for July 6-9, 2023 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I am thinking about attending.

Has anyone ever been to one of these yearly events?



If yes, is it worth it?

Do you have any advice?

I've always wondered/considered the same thing. I hope someone here has gone in the past and can share. The Contest Queen attends and has written about it on her blog. It sounds like fun! :)
 
I went to one many many years ago, but I was mostly working at the SA table with my parents. It's a lot of fun, though! Be sure to bring cash if you want to enter the raffles. The one I went to in Orlando FL had a raffle for a Chevrolet Car :)

Will there be an SA table at this one?
 
Attendees will enjoy our cold spell. This past weekend it was 113-116 degrees. It'll only be 108-100 during the convention. I doubt too many will go too far from the hotel/convention area.

It's been here a couple of times recently. We'll have to go one of these times. It's in Las Vegas next year.
 
We actually tied a record yesterday. We hit 117 degrees.

Ironically, the temps in Vegas are very close to ours, so next year's convention stands to be in a very warm place also. but at least there are multiple air-conditioned casinos to spend time in as well. :)
 
Ugh! Hate the heat, but I'm still jealous of all those that are going to the convention. I'm really considering attending next year. Have fun all!! :)
 
I went to one in NH about 2010, I think. I lived in TN at the time. Made a week of it. It was fun. Cost a fortune to ship all my winnings home since I flew up there. I'm getting a bit too old to go to another one. Those sessions and dinners go way into the night.
 
Well I made it here. The resort is nice; the weather tolerable and the folks fantastic. Kick-Off Celebration tonight at 7 pm. If anyone has any questions, just let me know and I will do my best to answer.

How was the convention? Did you win a bunch of stuff? Meet awesome people? Would you go again? I hope it was wonderful!!

The convention was loads of fun. I enjoyed the speakers and learned a thing or two. I won about $400 worth of stuff - my biggest win was a Lenovo IdeaPad. Everyone I met were fun and friendly - some I knew from social media . . . . others were brand new to me. I really enjoyed everyone's winning stories. I would and will go again. 2024 is in Las Vegas. I can not go next year because it falls right on my 50th Wedding Anniversary. However, I have 2025 penciled in on my calendar - they say it will be held in either Texas or Arkansas.
 
Wow! Now I can't wait to go. It sounds like so much fun. I'm sad you can't go next year, but congrats on a huge anniversary. Thanks so much for sharing. :)
