question: 1. on the "new sweepstakes", at what point in the day are there no more sweeps added to that day? sometimes when i enter the sweeps of that day and i come back later, there are more sweeps added scattered and it is hard to find the now even newer ones of that day to enter. (sorry sounds confusing, hope im making sense)

2. related question - sometimes a couple days later i see the number of sweeps for a certain day have just gone lower. for example from 100 to 96, where did those sweeps go?

Okay, first question. There is no specific timetable for when sweeps are added. Offline, there is a queue of submitted sweeps waiting to be reviewed and posted. In the morning, the Admin will post a batch of these sweeps. If the numbers in the queue are low, the Admin is likely to add more sweeps during the day as they come in. If you see 100 new sweeps early in the day, there probably will not be any more until the next day. Some days, like early in the month when many sweeps renew, the numbers are even higher! You may want to use SweepsCheck and My Sweeps to keep track of the sweeps you have entered and may want to enter again.

Second question. The numbers may drop slightly for a number of reasons. Lets say a sweep was added on Monday but expires on Thursday. If you check the numbers on Friday, the expired sweep will be archived and won't show up in the count. A sweep may also be removed if it is discovered to be a duplicate or a non-working link.

yyeres - GSW covered it - very well as usual - but I wanted to expand on the use of the SweepsCheck tool.

I use it not only to mark entered sweeps (along with adding them to My Sweepstakes by clicking |Add to My Sweepstakes | and changing it to | Remove from My Sweepstakes | and clicking the Save My Sweepstakes icon ) I also use it to mark those I DON'T wish to enter (and don't add them to My Sweepstakes) so I can keep track of the ones I've already decided on.

It not only makes checking each day MUCH easier, as I do this off and on throughout the day - I just look to the right and if there is no check mark, I look at the sweeps, but it's PERFECT for breezing through the end of the month sweeps!!! :smt002
