2 Iwon wins,1 local 300.00 win

Within the last week and a half,i won 2 10.00 Amazon.com gift cards,and 300.00 gift certificates(50.00 each to equal 300.00)to Regency Mall here in Omaha,NE.My sister and i went to a great restaurant and Godivas.Upon leaving,i commented on Von Maur at the Westroads,it's not too far from Regency.It just so happens that a lifelong friend of ours works there.On 12/05,as many know,a disturbed young man killed 8 people and himself.My sister listened to it on her police scanner,then tried to call our friend who was at work-I told her to hang up,if the shooter hears her cell phone,who knows what may happen.As we found out later,she was hiding under some clothes,and kept putting more on her feet scared that she would be seen.Our police got her and most of the other employees out without harm,but it was very sobering.Sorry to bring everyone down,but this is someone that my sister talks to almost everyday.Life is precious-Hug and tell your loved ones that you love them.Mend fences with your enemies.I apologize if i've offended anyone here,i only intended to inform about my wins.I guess that i just had to vent.Happy Holidays.
 
congrats on your wins. Im happy your friend was ok. that must have terrifying for her. you don't need to apologize. we all need to be reminded from time to time how lucky we are.

Sorry to hear about your friend...that must have been traumatic. I go to one of those stores here all the time just to look around, and there is a piano player in there in the center...not a multi-story one like yours. Could have been any of us in there.
 
My heart goes out to everyone involved in the mall shooting and the community as a whole.

Congrats on your wins.

No need to apologize about the recent events. My 24 year-old son had a bad wreck 2 weeks ago and then lost 2 of his friends last week. I reminded him to be mindful of how fragile life really is. I pray that everyone will realize during this holiday season what a wonderful gift friends, family, and LOVE are. God bless during this difficult season for so many people.

Congratulations on your wins. I can certainly understand you wanting to talk about a traumatic experience. I'd like to think that we're not just into the materialism of sweeping, but are honestly wanting to help each other out---whether that means offering tips or letting someone "talk". Enjoy your wins and your friendships.
