whiner's wall

I have been enteering for about 6 months now and nothing really yet, but seeing a lot of you post you are winning really does keep you going. I'm so curious how some of you have been doing this for so long and never get tired of it lol
 
I have been doing this for about six years and have won some wonderfuls stuff!
I do get tired of it and have taken breaks.
In 2011, I took almost a year off after getting a great full time job.

However, now I am entering again and starting to win again.

Not whining...just cheering everyone on. I've been doing this seriously since early Sept. 2011 and have about 80 - 90 wins so far. ALL INSTANTS. The biggest would be $100 Toys R Us gift card or the $100 NFL shop gift card. Can't seem to get any winning e-mails except confirms for instants. I do enter a lot of one time, daily, and facebooks, but can't seem to get anything from them. Maybe tomorrow...good luck to all and just keep at it!
 
:cussing: Anyone else have problems with the hearst magazine sweeps? They have so many in the !0k, 25k, 50k and 100k. But sometimes I just can't find the sweeps on their site. I have the rules printed out for as many as I can find. I just wish I could find them all every day. :scratch:
 
So last night I dreamed I won $1500 Visa GC and a total of $6000 in prizes. I hope that was a premonition. Lol More likely sweeping before bed. :) thankful for my wins, but ready for a big win!
 
Its time for my whine. I'm tired of not winning and depressed about it. I spend 4-6 plus hours a day sweeping and I'm not winning anything. Oh the other day I won a book and some chocolates but that's not sustaining me and keeping me wanting to keep doing this, but I can't stop. I feel for the amount of sweeps I'm entering (yesterday for example with the ddailys and one entrys I did I'd say I entered probably 800 sweeps. Where is my big win. I'm putting in all my free time and more into this and I'm not getting wins like other people are, what's the problem, where are my wins? when will it be my time. I'm getting so down and discouraged and don't know what to do. My husband doensnt really understand whats going on and my obsession with this. Hopefully my wins will come soon.
 
I know how you feel travel. I've even been entering blogs daily by tweeting and I only get a win here and there ( greatful for any win), but I see people post their monthly wrap up wins and it's like seriously??? I do this daily and can get obsessive with it at times, so why am I not winnin like those people? All my info is correct, rules followed, and I'm consistent.....kind of like the show in tlc where The ups/fed ex guy stops regularly and the lady who won so many cars....I just don't get it...I've started checking my email so frequently that I'm trying to limit myself .....

me too i had a dream i won big money dont remember how much exact hopefully someday we do :cheers:
 
Sitting here with a glass of wine, reading the whining posts, feeling kind of miserable. I know I have many things to be grateful for and I try to focus on that but out of work again and sweeping was an attempt at keeping my sanity. Oh well I must pull myself up by the bootstraps and keep on plugging along. Trying very hard to be sunny :sunny:

Good luck, Sunny! You have the right attitude - you just have to keep marching forth and believe that things will turn around.

Been a dry spell for me with winning lately. Hoping whining turns my luck around.
 
Is anyone else starting to feel like they have been blacklisted?! :scratch: I cant believe how infrequently I win anymore, compared with a couple years ago....I think I play even MORE now than I used to, yet I am winning less......I play predominantly instant wins and could usually count on seeing that winning screen at least once a week back in the day...now, its months that go by. I am seriously considering giving up the instants and just switching to one entries...that way I am not immediately reminded that I am a big stinkin loser and can "enter and forget it"......this is getting frustrating. I keep saying that maybe I need to give up the contests and write that best selling novel thats in my head.....the universe seems to be forcing my hand. :)

I hear ya troisanges, but the last time I went through this, it ended with my biggest win!

Some IW's do a 2nd chance draw {that's how I won my laptop} so I try to focus more outside of myself - voting/answering questions/etc. and watch cute cat videos when it gets to be just to much :crazytongue: :whistle:

Sometimes I wonder. The ONLY wins I've had in the 7 months I've been doing this have ALL been instants. Granted I've had a lot of IWs, most are small, the biggest $100, but I really don't know how many hundreds of entry type sweeps I've entered, and haven't even won so much as a 50 cent coupon. I keep checking that my email addy is entered correctly, right info in the right box, read the rules so I don't get DQ'd, wondered if GMAIL addresses are taken seriously by the judges, I've got no answers. But I'm not giving up, cause I'm IN IT TO WIN IT by God! So there! OK, I'm done. Good luck to all.
 
damnyankee2 if you have been doing this for 7 months allot of your other types of sweeps are just now being awarded.I can not tell you how many wins I had trouble finding in my records because it was almost a year after I entered that I received the prize.

The average sweepstakes runs for 3 to 6 months then the JA takes 2 to 3 months to ship out the wins so you could have won a sweepstakes the first day you started entering and just not know it yet.

Deerwalker- Point taken, but when I started, I started with the expiring sweeps so I could at least get a couple entries in before they closed. After I got caught up, I went to the other categories and went through the whole thing picking what I wanted. I prefer the one timers because everyone has the same odds compared to dailies, but I do enter daily, weekly, facebook, monthly and odd entry sweeps. It all comes down to luck in the end.
