Children who are rude to adults in stores

I can assure you all that when I do finally snap: It will be in Wal Mart. I swear I have considered going to the doctor to get a prescription for valium just so I can take it before I go to Wal Mart. Of course I don't have to shop there but if you are looking for the best bargains - that's the place to go. I tell my girls "Let's get in the zone" before we walk thru the doors. I think if you are one of those people that don't believe there is a hell - you should just hang out in WalMart for a couple of hours! Hell surely can't be any worse. :crazytongue:

About rude people, my son and I went out to eat one day. Coming out the door I opened it and a man squeezed between me and my son and actually stepped on my foot, turned around and gave ME a dirty look and is kid was right behind him and squeezed through too. What happened to ladies first especially when I was the one in front and opened the xxxxx door. People have a lot of nerve. Speaking of WalMart, I usually want to start ramming people with the cart before I'm through in there, HATE the place.

What is it about wal mart? I have never been in one that by the time I left I didn't want to strangle someone. Especially if I go to the cleaning isle. I get a headache and am not very pleasant. The one up here isnt as bad as the one in fl we went to. Here atleast the workers are somewhat friendly. down there they were as bad as the rude customers. my pet peeve is people with 50 items in the twenty or less. :cussing: I always say something.

I worked for Walmart for 15 years and I have to tell ya...if you think it is bad being a customer you should see how people treat the people that work there, I have seen the absolute worst of people and everyday I would go home so angry because of the way I was treated by people...they made it so hard to be nice to them some days.. I have been rammed with more carts then I can count, I have been called every name in the book by people because we didnt have something in stock. Now that I dont work there anymore I rarely go in there unless I absolutely have to...and if people are rude to me I am rude back because I dont work there anymore....it is so great to be able to tell someone off when they are rude! LOL :nono:

several of my SIL's work for walmart and some of the stories they tell. omg!.. Its funny in a way but also sad that some people treat others like crap because they know that the person needs the job and isnt going to say anything. The worse stories are the ones about returns. people trying to return used underwear and all kinds of stuff. grossssssss!..

I feel sorry for anybody that has to work behind any return counter. What do they have to look forward to when they come to work? People complaining all day about the stuff they bought and don't want. No Thank you! I don't even like to stand in that line with those grumpy people. I rarely return anything for that very reason.

I worked the refund counter for almost 3 of those 15 years and yes i also have a story about used underwear...a guy tried to return used women's underwear...he said that they were his daughter's and kindly told him he was a creepy SOB and he could pick them back up off the counter and leave the store before I call the police...of course he made a scene so I called the police and he was escorted out the store!..I could write a book of stupid things people say and do when trying to return an item at a retail store

As for rude kids...well we also have to remember with the multitude of children being diagnosed with ADD& ADHD, autism , and tons of other mental and emotional problems that we have to be careful that we arent judging the parents or the children to harshly...my daughter has emotional problems and I have always taught her to not be rude to people but she is still very rude to me in front of other people...sometimes it is just better to ignore the behavior until you are out of the store and in a controlled environment...so it may look like the parent isnt doing anything but it could be that they are just trying to maintain their cool because there is always some nosy busybody that is quick to report you to CPS if you are strict in discipling your children in public.

Well, that's because most children are brought up now lacking morals, values, discipline, and respect.

How often these days do you hear children address their elders respectfully with Mr., Mrs., or Miss?

My kids didn't until they moved to the south. Now, it's "Ma'am" or "sir"

How about rude adults in the store, too. Yesterday a woman RAMMED me with her shopping cart and looked at me as if it was my fault. Some people have no respect or manners and that is unfortunately where the children learn it from.

YES!!!! I hate it when adults act like children.

People at Wal-Mart are the worst ~ I hate going in there! People try to make you mad! They will block both sides of the aisle at once and just stand there and TALK! I understand that you see everyone you have ever known in there, but move it to the end of the aisles people!! Even if I am looking at something and see someone waiting I will move to let them look and then move back ~ there is no reason to make people wait if they know what they are getting.

And it doesn't matter when I go ~ it could be 3:00 with 12 feet of snow on the ground and I would have one person that would be following me from aisle to aisle and wanting just exactly where I was at the moment!!!!! Especially is I am on my period and am close to poking out someones eyes ~ it is like they are just daring me! I don't step foot in Wal-Mart during that time anymore ~ I was going to end up in jail for flogging someone to death on aisle 12 :cussing:

OMG, I love it! I feel this way sometimes too....ok a LOT of the time. I hate wal-mart but, limited on places to shop and can't really beat the prices there.

Ok, here's one I don't understand and fearsgirl can back my up on this one. How is it that a small town can have soooo many shoppers at walmart at all hours? Do these people EVER go home?! I swear, the same cars are there all the time with hundreds of shoppers. I understand that people from neighboring towns make they're way to shop in this town but *sigh*, just how many rolls of toilet paper do you need? Just because, we don't have entertainment doesn't mean walmart is the "hip" place to go.

Here you go, this is the closest city/town to me. They make it look like there is more to do there than there really is. You should see the civic center, it's tiny! Well, I am from a pretty large city so this town does seem small to me.

Census stats
Batesville is a city in Panola County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 7,113 at the 2000 census.

Here is where I am from and let me tell you, they have 3 or 4 walmarts, a few targets and many other shopping centers and they are all packed ALL the time. Now you can see why I think Batesville is so small, lol.

Bakersfield California As of 2007, the population was estimated at 323,213
