THIS IS HYSTERICAL

The Fedex guy was just here for something I had to sign for. I figured something I ordered--waiting on quite a few things. Out come two boxes with the word "Dell" on them. It's a complete computer. Then he says he has another set of boxes of the same thing--another computer. I'm thinking, hmm, what the heck sweepstakes did I enter giving away two complete computers. So, I check the packing slip; and, sure enough, it was for our neighbor. My package was still in the truck. So, out they went again. My package is in there somewhere, but he can't seem to get to it right now. So, he'll be back when he gets down to it. They came, and they went!!

Wow! that must of been a big let down, to think you won not 1 but 2, then to find out it wasn't even for you.!
Makes you wonder how many packages they deliver to the wrong address.

No, it didn't bother me at all--no let down. I just laughed. My address happened to be under the address for the computers. So, it was just one of those instances where he probably look at the package numbers and then his eyes slipped down to the wrong address. I'm sure it happens quite often. I'm not one to get worked up or over-excited when something gets delivered. I usually just bring it in, open it up, look at what it is, and leave it there in the box and go back to my sweeps. Maybe, next time, they'll mistakenly bring me a new car!!

 Dont know rather to LAUGH or CRY  with YOU. Geez just b4 Christmas... MORE SWEEPS

Well, you can laugh with me. I'm not crying. It just was funny having those four "Dell" boxes sitting in my front hallway for all of two minutes!! :crazytongue: My 3-year-old daughter was upset though. While he was bringing them back to the van, she was yelling "My computer, my computer!".

awww poor little one. Yea my daughter would be upset too. weve gotten packages that were for the neighbors, and my daughter wanted to open them. When I realized they werent ours, she let out this, "AWWW man"!! lol.

My daughter would have went into attack mode over a computer and then started telling him that legally if he delievered it to the wrong house it was their mistake and her computer ~ I think she will be a lawyer when she gets older. Needless to say, sometimes trying to explain why Momma is dragging her back into the store to pay for the bottle of Mucinex that the lady didn't charge us for, is to me, the same as stealing because I knew about it, like using sign language for a blind person!! She might be the death of me yet!!!

Just in case, I AM trying to teach her right from wrong ~ she is just hotwired different from my other kids at times!!!

Hotwired might not be a good term to use with this child yet

...and how old is she?

:sunny: So sorry to hear that the Dell's weren't for you, but I admire you for being able to just shrug it off.

What is so scary is that she is smart ~ not just regular smart like "tech" smart ~ she was just born with it. She got a Hello Kitty organizer for Christmas last year ~ well, she decided she wanted to see what made it go. Next thing I know, she has it in my room controlling the tv in the living room???? I still don't understand it ~ neither does she really. She rewired her Papaw's radio that he was about to throw away because it didn't work ~ works fine now. She is just natually curious. I can't turn my back on her ~ I have forbidden her to touch my computer other than to turn it off, on, and touch the keyboard!!!

Oh my God! Our 3-year-old is like that! I'm locking her up right now!!

We've even had to bring our cell phones over to Radio Shack, because she completely changed the settings on us. Oh, and she's also ordered games.

Ashelyn did that also!! She got Jimmie's phone and was taking pictures in minutes and setting his wallpaper. I asked her how she did it and she said it was easy!! She was like do this and this and this and this ~ finally I just asked her to set the volume on mine and left it be!!

My sister swore that her phone was broke, and guess what ~ she had it up and going in like 3 minutes.

Now if I can just get her to use her powers for good not evil...

That's why I better lock mine up now!!

Noone believes it until they see it for theirselves!! They just learn to pick the locks, that is the thing about kids ~ they are slippery little suckers!!

We had to put chains up the upper portion of the back and front doors so that she can't get out. She was caught a number of times with her shoes and coat on with the door open and ready to go "outside"!!

Now my other daughter was the one who wanted to see how far she could go in the dark of night ~ we live on a main highway in our county and she would sneak outside ~ I know this is going to sound really really bad, but when she started going outside at night (at 2) we had to use the safety gate to keep her in her room, not out of someplace. Ashelyn is more scared of everything outside of the house!! Inside ~ everything is fair game and she feels she is entitled to it!!

It scared me to death thinking how quick she is, and the possibility of her wandering off. She's always right there, but two seconds with your back turned and oh what she can do with just two seconds. She's stubborn, thinks she's the queen of the house, and that screach that can come out of such a little person when she doesn't get her way. I'm thinking duct tape!!
