3.5 X 5 Postcard

Hi All. I am new to sweeping. I want to mail-in an entry, but the rules specify sending in a 3.5 X 5 postcard. Does it have to be exactly that size? I have a bunch of postcards but none of them are 3.5 X 5. I am tempted to just cut some down to the appropriate size or just make some from some thick paper.:D

Thank you in advance for any feedback!

Hiya rosieak - Snail {Mail-In} sweeps are *very* persnickety - what the rules say RULE!

Yes, cut them down or make your own - just as long as you use card not paper

Back in the 80's the rule was, if they asked for a 3x5 card, you had to use card stock. If it said 3x5 paper, you could use either paper or card stock

Amy, Do you think they mind if you use an index card, writing on the lined side of the 3x5 card? I had blank, but thought the writing was better on a lined index card.

IIRC the rules will state "unlined" if they want unlined but it's been years since I snailed...

Thank you, Do you think entries by mail are not worth it?

I snailed extensively in the 80's while stationed at GITMO & only ever won 3 things - life went on & I stopped entering until I saw an ad for a $10,000 sweeps for The L Word & I had a computer so I started sweeping online.

I did do some snails early on {2004} & won 4 tires w/installation & IIRC a $45 Amazon gc from codes I sent for, but I'm lazy - Path of least resistance is my motto :p

Snails are worth it just as online are - it's just a matter of which you want to/can do!
