Solve Media: Suspicious activity message

So today this started- a couple of times when I entered something, I've gone to type in their little code to confirm that I'm not a bot or whatever. Usually it's something like "switch to progressive" or something, but today it's been something about how they've noticed suspicious activity coming from my computer, and that I need to enter my email address. It seems fishy to me- I've never encountered anything like this before and I have been sweeping for several years. I have just refreshed the thing, and it's gone back to asking for the normal message and I have not put in my email.

Anybody else experiencing this?

I haven't had much time for entering sweeps, so I haven't noticed it, but I agree with what you are doing - I would be very cautious and not enter my email address.

rlsuaso - instead of the puzzle/captcha you get that message, or is it a popup?

It's always best to go to the horse's mouth: Engagement Advertising Technology | CAPTCHA, Pre-roll, Brand Tags - Solve Media

HOWEVER - If it's a popup, clean your comp

Nope, not a pop-up. I am very vigilant about keeping malware and viruses out. It's in place of the usual captcha message. It's very weird. I will look through the info in your link, Amy- thanks.

rlsuaso - I thought you were vigilant but fibro fog has me blippy!!!

OK, now my interest is piqued - I'll let you know if I find anything on it!

Hmmm, about google but possibly related?

Google has detected suspicious activity coming from your computer. We - Microsoft Community

This issue has been reported as being caused by ISPs redirecting traffic addressed to google.com. This causes Google to see a lot of traffic coming from the same IP address ,which it regards as suspicious. See this:

If you are sure you do not have malware, this would be worth investigating.

This has happened to me yesterday and today. Seems to be only on one website.

Got that message on one of the mag websites yesterday. So just closed that out and went on to my other contests. I tired today, and it was back to normal. Got usual captcha message.

Some of these mag contests are taking lots longer to enter now. Some days just skip them.
