Issues with the Site Update - Help Please

I've searched for a place to ask for tips, tricks, and fixes for this update and haven't found one. If you know of such a thread please share it's whereabouts. 1. My avatar disappeared, how do I re add it? Is there a size limit? 2. Are there instructions on any of the updates anywhere?
 
As far as I can see there is not a special thread on this topic. I haven't had much time lately, but I learned from the FAQs for the forum, and from reading new posts.

There is a lot to learn and so far I haven't seen answers to your particular questions.

I'm also curious how the captachas' help security? We should already have had to log in, right? I'm not against security, I'm just curious as to how it helps.

You can set your time zone by clicking on Settings (top right) then click on General Settings (column on the left) scroll down until you see Date and Time options and choose your time zone.

Ok, I had to change mine to figure it out. Click on Settings (top right) Look in the Left column for Edit Avatar and click. I used a regular pic that I had in my libary without downsizing it so you shouldn't have any problems.
 
Yay! There I am, Thanks pmeek! I was looking in "my profile". It's xlarge through! I'll have to mess with shrinking it later.
