Frequency of sweepstakes vs how many you can actually win?

:wave: Hi guys I have a question regarding sweepstakes in general.

Ok I have stopped sweeping for 2 months because out of the 2 lousy years that I actually did sweep I won 3 whole CDs in total (that is beyond sad).

My question does the frequency of the types of sweeps (like one entry, instants, or monthly) that one enters make a vast difference between how often you get to enter and the times of the day you enterthese sweeps from? :scratch:

For 2 years I religiously entered one entries, instants, and a slew of other categories and have not one major prize like a laptop, mp3, or movie subscription or worthy prize I can say I enjoy winning, what gives? What am I doing wrong with the sweepstaking formula here? I am more than tired of entering with nothing to win back. This has grown beyond ridiculous 3 whole CD's and I gave those away cause I don't even like pop music but my little cousins do so I am glad they enjoy it.

Any help is greatly appreciated, mind you I don't have net access late at night or early morning so I can't enter instant that late in the evening or early in the morning. And besides the only message I get on those is sorry your not a winner time and time again that its should be tattooed on my forehead LOL....
 
I tend to focus on one entry and blogs. But everyone approaches sweeping differently. You have to get a feel for what makes you most comfortable, kind of like being in the "zone". There is no magic formula, other than keep entering...if the messages in the instants are getting you down, another category might be less depressing.

edit: and check into the most effective use of roboform! Lidarkside taught me how to use this wonderful tool to its full potential. The roboform threads here are very helpful.
 
I do all the sweepstakes that have prizes that I am interested in and enter them diligently--daily, weekly, monthly, etc.--about 700 to 1,000 on any given day. I win from all of them, but I think mostly from the daily's; because most people can't be bothered entering them everyday giving those who enter everyday a better chance of winning. All in all, we win alot and consistently.
 
I do the IW, the daily's and the one entry per person. There's just me and my husband so sometimes on the daily entrys that are one per person I will enter and he will enter.

I've often wondered about the people who win constantly also. Are there more family members who can enter like various kids around the house who can enter and up the odds of winning? Should I start entering my cats? :laughing:

I started sweeping about 4 years ago. In 2007 I didnt win a thing till June. It sucked.
I went on Yahoo and looked up my my local TV and radio stations. I found out that on their websites they have all kinds of one entry per person contests that can be entered online. I entered one for the "ugliest kitchen" and won $1500 which is my largest win to date. Try those. Most people are trying to win the call in contests and dont even realize that the websites have contests as well.

We only put in one entry per sweepstakes that we want to win even if other family members can also enter. There's just not enough time in a day with everything else.

Wow you are one patient soul....I just did a run down of how many IW, dailies, one entries I just about total out to & its sad, about 50 to 75 sweepstakes totaled just about each day. Its official I am a lightweight sweeper and I think Mssc...getting some dogs, cats, and turtles to enter for me is a super idea :laughing:

Mssc 3 whole cd's in 2 years time that is beyond sad. I haven't hit one major ipod, laptop, mp3 player, trip, cash. or fun prize to call my own *sigh* Thanks for the well wishes though, hope you have a year full of wins mssc.... :wave: :cheers:
 
I enter mostly intant, probably 50 to 100 per day, and sometimes daily and one entry. But most all my wins have been on instants. I win fairly well, not like allot of people but enough to keep me happy, But it differently goes in cycles. Like in Dec. I won about $2000 worth of stuff, 500 Avon, 500 Travelosity, and the new AT&T HCT fuze smart phone, 499, that was the big prizes in December, but in Jan and Feb I have won maybe $100. And for 2 or 3 weeks not much of anything, while in Dec I won almost every day. I play sometimes late some at early evenings, usaully most at 5 or 6 am, but i have won at all different times. I think the biggest thing is enter enter enter and keep a positive attitude, don't know how you kept going 2 years with only 2 Cd's. that is tough. I also thank God for each and every win. I am not saying God is sitting around making sure I win, but I do thank him for every good thing in my life, and have noticed the more thankful I am for the good in my life, the more he gives me. And fair warning, it does make some people mad that I thank God, but such is life, you can't make everybody happy all the time and I am who I am. I am in total agreement with you here. God let's us know when we are doing good (pleased with us), and he also let's us know when we're not. I owe our good fortune to Him.
