Prayer Of The Day

Pray again for those in the path of the storm. It seems like there is so much to be praying for these days with storms and wars but you know there have always been these things it's just that now there seems to be more. But as I have said before with Christ there is nothing to fear. Praise God Amen

Be blessed and be a blessing

I thank you Lord for each day with you and the many blessings you give me. I hope that as I bless others they in turn will pass it on and touch someone else with kindness. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. We can be a blessing to others in so many ways not just with financial blessings but there are so many ways to be a blessing. I pray we all reach out to bless someone in the name of Jesus Amen.

Today I thought I might go back into the Old Testament. There is just so much wisdom in the Bible if we just take the time to meditate on the words.

Proverbs 1
1THE PROVERBS (truths obscurely expressed, maxims, and parables) of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2[a]That people may know skillful and godly Wisdom and instruction, discern and comprehend the words of understanding and insight,

3Receive instruction in wise dealing and the discipline of wise thoughtfulness, righteousness, justice, and integrity,

4That prudence may be given to the simple, and knowledge, discretion, and discernment to the youth--

5The wise also will hear and increase in learning, and the person of understanding will acquire skill and attain to sound counsel [so that he may be able to steer his course rightly]--(A)

6That people may understand a proverb and a figure of speech or an enigma with its interpretation, and the words of the wise and their dark sayings or riddles.

7The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning and the principal and choice part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; but fools despise skillful and godly Wisdom, instruction, and discipline.(B)

8My son, hear the instruction of your father; reject not nor forsake the teaching of your mother.

9For they are a [victor's] chaplet (garland) of grace upon your head and chains and pendants [of gold worn by kings] for your neck.

10My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.(C)

11If they say, Come with us; let us lie in wait [to shed] blood, let us ambush the innocent without cause [and show that his piety is in vain];

12Let us swallow them up alive as does Sheol (the place of the dead), and whole, as those who go down into the pit [of the dead];

13We shall find and take all kinds of precious goods [when our victims are put out of the way], we shall fill our houses with plunder;

14Throw in your lot with us [they insist] and be a sworn brother and comrade; let us all have one purse in common--

15My son, do not walk in the way with them; restrain your foot from their path;

16For their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood.

17For in vain is the net spread in the sight of any bird!

18But [when these men set a trap for others] they are lying in wait for their own blood; they set an ambush for their own lives.

19So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain; such [greed for plunder] takes away the lives of its possessors.(D)

20[c]Wisdom cries aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the markets;

21She cries at the head of the noisy intersections [in the chief gathering places]; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks:

22How long, O simple ones [open to evil], will you love being simple? And the scoffers delight in scoffing and [self-confident] fools hate knowledge?

23If you will turn (repent) and give heed to my reproof, behold, I [[d]Wisdom] will pour out my spirit upon you, I will make my words known to you.(E)

24Because I have called and you have refused [to answer], have stretched out my hand and no man has heeded it,(F)

25And you treated as nothing all my counsel and would accept none of my reproof,

26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when the thing comes that shall cause you terror and panic--

27When your panic comes as a storm and desolation and your calamity comes on as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.

28Then will they call upon me [Wisdom] but I will not answer; they will seek me early and diligently but they will not find me.(G)

29Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord,(H)

30Would accept none of my counsel, and despised all my reproof,

31Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way and be satiated with their own devices.

32For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, and the careless ease of [self-confident] fools shall destroy them.(I)

33But whoso hearkens to me [Wisdom] shall dwell securely and in confident trust and shall be quiet, without fear or dread of evil.

LORD GOD we lift up your name this morning and ask you for protection for our family members and our close friends. We walk with you and we trust you with our lives. I will seek you out each day and take all my prayer requests to you. I pray for peace. Peace for Jerusalem because we know that with true peace you will be here. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

You know I have never been so upset with any situation in my life because I know that it would do me no good to worry. I have trials and tribulations just like the rest of you but I take those trials to the throne of God and ask him to take this from me. Whatever the outcome I know GOD is in control and he will do what's right for me. All he asks from us in return is obedience. Just like any loving father would do. Don't spend time worrying about what may happen because that will only bring fear. Just trust a loving father.

This is a wonderful site for anyone who is interested in a great Bible lesson and study. He goes into detail and he gives you lots of history. Also he has some interesting studies on Daniel and revelations. They go into when the Lord may return and some of the signs to be watching for.

Thank you LORD for teachers of your word and the ones who seek the truth and not a false teaching. We need men and women of God who seek your face and are just trying to walk with you and be obedient. Bless them LORD that they may be able to reach as many as those who will not harden their hearts but will listen to your call. We are so blessed to have good preachers and teachers today who spread the gospel of your death on the cross and what it means. Amen

Lord again a storm is headed our way. We are believing that you will be with us in this time of uncertainty and we put our trust in you that you will be with us. I ask protection for all those who are reading this prayer that are in the path of the storm and protection for our loved ones Amen.

The Bible dtates this as birth pangs

Matthew 24
1JESUS DEPARTED from the temple [a]area and was going on His way when His disciples came up to Him to call His attention to the buildings of the temple and point them out to Him.
2But He answered them, Do you see all these? Truly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.

3While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said, Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the completion, the consummation) of the age?

4Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].

5For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray.

6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place;

8All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the [c]birth pangs [of the [d]intolerable anguish].

9Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

10And then many will be offended and repelled and will [e]begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred.

11And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.

12And the love of [f]the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity,

13But he who endures to the end will be saved.

14And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

15So when you see the appalling sacrilege [the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place--let the reader take notice and [g]ponder and consider and heed [this]--(A)

16Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;

17Let him who is on the housetop not come down and go into the house to take anything;

18And let him who is in the field not turn back to get his overcoat.

19And alas for the women who are pregnant and for those who have nursing babies in those days!

20Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

21For then there will be great tribulation (affliction, distress, and oppression) such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now--no, and never will be [again].(B)

22And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would endure and survive, but for the sake of the elect (God's chosen ones) those days will be shortened.

23If anyone says to you then, Behold, here is the Christ (the Messiah)! or, There He is!--do not believe it.

24For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God's chosen ones).

25See, I have warned you beforehand.

26So if they say to you, Behold, He is in the wilderness (desert)--do not go out there; if they tell you, Behold, He is in the secret places or inner rooms--do not believe it.

27For just as the lightning flashes from the east and shines and [h]is seen as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

28Wherever there is a fallen body (a corpse), there the vultures (or eagles) will flock together.(C)

29Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.(D)

30Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and beat their breasts and lament in anguish, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [in brilliancy and splendor].(E)

31And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect (His chosen ones) from the four winds, [even] from one end of the [j]universe to the other.(F)

32From the fig tree learn this lesson: as soon as its [k]young shoots become soft and tender and it puts out its leaves, you know [l]of a surety that summer is near.

33So also when you see these signs, [m]all taken together, coming to pass, you may know [n]of a surety that He is near, at the very doors.

34Truly I tell you, this generation ([o]the whole multitude of people living at the same time, [p]in a definite, [q]given period) will not pass away till all these things [r]taken together take place.

35Sky and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

36But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

37As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

38For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark,

39And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away--so will be the coming of the Son of Man.(G)

40At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left.

41Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

42Watch therefore [[t]give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of a day [whether a near or remote one] your Lord is coming.

43But understand this: had the householder known in what [part of the night, whether in a [v]night or a morning] watch the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be [w]undermined and broken into.

44You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.

45Who then is the faithful, thoughtful, and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household to give to the others the food and supplies at the proper time?

46Blessed (happy, fortunate, and [x]to be envied) is that servant whom, when his master comes, he will find so doing.

47I solemnly declare to you, he will set him over all his possessions.

48But if that servant is wicked and says to himself, My master is delayed and is going to be gone a long time,

49And begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with the drunken,

50The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour of which he is not aware,

51And will punish him [[y]cut him up by scourging] and put him with the pretenders (hypocrites); there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

It is an exciting time to be a christian today because we can see what God is doing. We can reach out to people who need a helping hand and we can tell them about Jesus. So many today are looking for answers but the only answer is Jesus Christ. He has everything we need. He is our source. With all that is taking place around us we can put our trust in him and lean on him.

Let's all count our blessings and be thankful for what we have. We have so much. There is no other place so blessed as the USA and I would not want to live any other place. We have our freedom and we can choose who we wish to serve. Father I pray they all choose you Amen.

Everyone please keep all of the south coast especially Louisiana in your prayers. This is another big storm and it's expected to hit tomorrow around noon.

Lord we put our trust in you and thank you for watching over us. Protect our lives and our homes. Keep us all safe and help us to get through whatever may come.In Jesus name I pray Amen

Again Lord I pray for those in the path of the storm and especially my family and my property. I just trust you Father and know you are in the midst of any storm we face. You will be my shield in everything I face. Lord thank you for who you are Amen.

We can always expect trials and tribulations to come our way. The thing is how do we react to any of these situations. If we just remember to not get caught up in the fear or the emotions of the moment we can calm ourselves. Just say to yourself Lord you are in control and it's all going to be OK. I was in traffic for 10 hours the other night but I remembered that it's OK nothing is that bad. It's amazing how fast your mind can start to panic. I do believe Satan will put thoughts of fear in your head but we have to tell him to stop and then we focus on the Lord. God is an awesome God.

Thank you Lord for seeing me through the storm. God is so good and he will be the righteous judge in all things. He has made a way for us to go to him in prayer and ask him to be with us. He has made a way for us to talk to him just like we talk to each other. He is so approachable. I love that we can have a close personal relationship with a loving father. Jesus is the way. He gave his life so that we might be able to go before the throne of God with all of our thoughts and prayers. Amen.

Be blessed and be a blessing

Psalm 23
A Psalm of David.
1THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
2He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.(A)

3He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake.

4Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [a]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.

6Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

I am proud to be a child of the most high God. He is a loving father who watches over me. In times of trouble he will be by my side. I am blessed.

Lord I want to say a prayer again for our military who protect our freedom and serve their country with pride. Be with them Father keep them strong and give them encouragement. They make me proud to be an American. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

I know as someone who has been given the privilege of freedom we have to remember those who are willing to give their lives for our freedom. Sometimes I think we forget that our troops are still away from home but I want us to always be thinking of them.

We are all his children.

Heavenly father we give you all the glory and all the praise. You are worthy of all praise and worship. You alone are God and you alone control all things. We put our trust in you and we have faith in you because your promises are true. You are not a man that you should lie. I will lean on you Lord for anything that I need to come into your presence for Amen.

I hope that anyone struggling with life will be able to see that God loves you and he wants you to be with him. Turn to him he is waiting on you.

Have fellowship with other Christians. It will strengthen you and your walk with Christ. You can hold each other accountable. We are the body of Christ. No matter which church you attend if you believe that Jesus is the only way to God and that he rose from the dead then we are all one body. Yes each religion has it's traditions but if the message is the same then we are all one body. Be wise as to what doctrine you believe because there is only one way to God and Jesus is the way. Study the word so you can test the spirits that way. You will know which religion is the truth.

Lord I pray the truth be revealed to all those seeking answers. Open the eyes and do not harden the hearts of those who have still not accepted you as Lord. Time is short and it is your desire that all would be saved Amen.
