well, it looks like the casino on friday night is out of the question.. no one wants 2 drive 2+ hours to get there.... ohhh well, guess we'll have to find some strip clubs to hit up... :laughing: :laughing:
we made reservations 4 mortons steakhouse for saturday...... we are sooo friggin' stoked... sooo excited... :cheers:

Definitely going up to Avenue B to the Aussie Bakery to get gluten free pizza and bread.
I do not have the hair, clothes or money for Morton's. $30 for steak when I can go to a nice restaurant and get two dinners.
Fiesta Texas is only open weekends and Labour Day so unless someone stays over a night that is out. Casinos for 4 hours on the road, cant go to casinos due to religion but mainly am a gambler and if I get in a mood will keep loosing money even though I know I am loosing.
Thursday will do RiverWalk, Alamo and Rivercenter probably

Mom just reminded me that because of Labour Day weekend I will be getting paid on Friday which means I will have about $300 for food and ground transportation on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mom is now using about 15 packages of Depends a month so I need to find a cheap place for them. Yes I have to pay $160 to $250 a month on adult diapers, scream but I will find it some how cheaper.
Plan A is to stay with tinymomo and plan B is to get roommates but I really like the idea of concierge and free food and drinks.
More trip financial news is that I am owed a few pennies by Verizon which is the DSL and phone but cannot afford the gas bill, lol, it is $4. I over paid last month apparently. That is about $70 to $80 not having to pay next month woot. I am climbing the mountain aka my dream trip. :headbang: :laughing:

I called to double check the room reservation, and they said it was canceled. I said "WHAT?"
The card I used to hold the room expired on June 30th. So now we are out of a room. There is nothing left at that hotel, and I have called 3 surrounding hotels now too, and there is nothing because there are a bunch of insurance people in town for a convention too. So now I am looking for a room, and I may not even go now, at least my plane ticket is refundable.

Right now we could do one person outside of town and rent a car. That would be $950 room, $200 car, $250 room outside of town and parking. $1400 total is still $300 a person.

Seaworld is closed in San Antonio on Wednesday and Thursday so now that is out. Fiesta Texas is a no go. No Casinos. No nightlife. No amusement parks.

I should cancel this trip and go to WDW where I would have my friends, free food, love, hugs, and everything would be open. I rather be in WDW. $400 for 5 nights. I hate San Antonio now and find it to be over rated and boring.

I have no way of getting a roommate to pay in advance. No seaworld. No around the place transpertation. I so wanted to go to San Antonio but unless someone can tell me one reason why I should go and how I am to afford this trip then it is off,
I will work on changing the room last minute for a cheap hotel and stay there and come back early, LIE TO MOTHER AND FRIENDS. I will take a vacation but when WDW is $69 a night plus tax and I can stay in a motel in Indiana for under $50 a night why go to San Antonio.
I left other site as I have ADD SID and quirks. I cannot believe that people enjoy and get thrills out of hurting other people. So what if I was happy and planning things. So waht if I was on the phone to the hotel, who pays for that? so what if I had all my dreams dashed.

I am so sorry that tinymomo and mechurchlady can't or won't go the convention in San Antonio. Seaworld and Fiesta Texas are open during the weekends - the schedule changed, probably because school started that week in August (Aug. 25). Dads and Moms with children, and college students, don't go to amusement parks during the week when school starts.
As far as "nightlife" goes, there's still a lot to see and do on the Riverwalk - lots of restaurants that are open both day and part of the night (for example, Dick's Last Resort, Mexican food eateries, Paesano's [Italian], Lone Star Cafe, Waxy O'Connor's Irish Pub,etc.) - there are barges to take on the San Antonio River, which is what the Riverwalk is named for; the Riverwalk was built during the Depression, part of the WPA or CCC program to keep men and women working. There's La Villita (art); the Alamo during the day (history); Mercado (lots to see and do, shopping, restaurants, etc.). Labor Day Arts and Crafts Show, 8/29 - 9/1, Riverwalk Extension; Houston Street Fair & Market, 8/30, Downtown on Houston Street. Houston Street Fair & Market, 8/30, Downtown. Howl at the Moon
"Howl at the Moon is a singing, clapping, stomping, dance-on-the-piano, rock N roll dueling piano show! Its part concert, part piano bar & all centered around audience interaction & 2 baby grand pianos. Howl offers an experience beyond the average bar with live entertainment, comedy, & sing-a-longs throughout the night." And then, there is the Blue Star Brewing Company.

Thanks for the info kktshomes. I have given up. I have quirks and it is hard for me to trust people. What just happened hurt me badly. I checked the parks for info. I should have go up and made breakfast instead of buying it at a restaurant. I so thought everything would work out.
I cannot get a roommate as nobody will have me. 3 other people instantly got roommates but not me for weeks or a month. I cannot afford $600 for the room. I want to go but why go is there is no hope of going. I wish I had gone to Moline instead. Was happy there.
I may go but right now doubt it. I am not going to beg for money. I have one resource to lone me money, maybe and only $100 or possibly $200. It is doomed.
