We hear a lot of sweepstakes talk on our forum throughout the week, and it seems as though a lot of people are frustrated with the idea that they just aren’t winning anything! Unfortunately, a lot of winners miss out on great prizes because they don’t know what to expect from a winning notification. So what does a winning notification look like, and what does it say? Well, let’s find out.

Most winning notifications for sweepstakes are sent through email. Nearly all of the winning notifications for sweepstakes are sent through email, unless otherwise stated in the rules. So be sure to pay close attention to those rules!

So if it’s winning emails that we are supposed to look for, how do we find them? What do winning emails look like? First of all, you’re going to want to look for the name of the sweepstakes as the title of the email. In this case you’re going to want to look for familiar titles of sweeps you have entered. Another good indication would be if the title said ‘congratulations’ or something else related to you winning! But don’t overlook any of these sweep emails. Although it may look like just a newsletter or entry confirmation, there is the chance it could be your ticket to an amazing prize.

On that same note, it is a good idea to also check your spam regularly to make sure none of your winning notifications are getting filtered from your inbox. Just because your email thinks that something looks like spam doesn’t mean that it actually is!

If you keep all of these tips in mind, you may just realize that you are winning more sweeps than you think! Don’t give up on all of the wonderful prizes of the sweeping world, just check your email closely and frequently.

Happy Sweeping!

An even easier method… If you have gmail you can set it to filter certain words and phrases such as "Winning", "Congratulations", "Winner" "You won" and so on. You can set as many as you like. it will mark them as important and guarantee they do not end up in your spam folder. Way easier than meticulously checking your spam folder all the time.
