Twitter Parties and other Twitter Contests on SA

Twitter Contests require that you have a Twitter account and the contest will usually specify what you need to tweet ( usually some #hashtag ) and maybe even ( follow ) a certain person or company to win. In the case of our current Amazon Twitter Contest the prizes are even pretty good like a $500 Amazon.com gift card.  There is one Twitter contest where the Prize is a John Deere Gator Vehicle worth $10K! OK, with a prize like that now do I have your attention?

I'll have to be honest and say that before I started entering Twitter Contests I thought they were just for door prizes like Books and Perfumes. Just a quick glance at the SA Twitter list and I see a $500 Cash Prize, a Miami Spa Trip and 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 with an ARV of $61K.  The funny thing is after you learn how to enter Twitter Contests they sometimes require less effort than traditional sweepstakes. This is because some of the Twitter Contests will have a pre-populated window with all the required information and you only need to click OK or Submit.

What are Twitter Parties Anyway?

Twitter Parties are cyber grass root marketing events. Parties usually last around 1-2 hours and are very fast-paced. Lots of times these events use Twitter Chats to function. Twitter chats usually plug into your Twitter account and allow you to chat real time in the Twitter Party.  Owners create a hash tag around a topic and then invite their Twitter followers to follow that hash tag at a specified time and converse with other followers.  Some Twitter parties will even ask you to RSVP and sometimes this may increase your odds of winning a prize.  During some Twitter Parties there will be some question and answer sessions and you'll be asked to answer the question with the party hash tag.  At the end of the party there may even be a chance to Win the Grand Prize.

There are some really great prizes at these Twitter Parties and the odds may be in your favor to win because in most cases you have to attend the party at a certain time of the day or night. Not everyone can or will do this so your efforts may be rewarded with a great prize.  Just look for the details in the SA listing about when the party starts. If you have a Sweepstakes Plus account you can even create a Custom List called “Twitter Parties on Wednesday” to narrow it down and organize your strategy.
