This Valentine’s Day, a Sweepstakes Advantage member can’t help but feel thankful that just when she needed it most, sweepstakes saved her family from going homeless.

When Silver SA member, Kyms66, won in the Blockbuster Race Car Sweepstakes, she was happy to learn that she is taking home a $3,500 gift certificate for driving lessons and a $1,500 Visa Card. However, with some issues that both parties have to deal with, they had to settle for receiving only the lesson certificate.

But happy things weren’t meant to last that long for this SA member and her husband. That same day, she received the bad news that the lease on their apartment is not to be renewed and that they have 28 days left to find a new place to live. Even more unfortunate for them, the couple was broke, and the last thing they need is something to spend on – especially not on a house.

But instead of going crazy about their dilemma, Kyms66 and husband thought of a way to try earning money, though not in an entirely risky way. Thinking they had nothing to lose, the couple decided to sell the lesson certificate over at eBay.

How This Sweepstakes Win Saved Their Lives

Many of us join sweepstakes to have fun. Many of us join sweepstakes to win. However, not every one of us knew exactly what our sweepstakes win can mean. In other words, we take them for granted and spend them on whatever comes to our minds. It is only during times of need when we realize the importance of winning sweepstakes.

Kyms66 shared how the lucky win had saved their family from being homeless.

“Luckily, we were able to sell the certificate on eBay. It was just enough money to pay for a first month rent and security on the new place.”

Kyms66 and her husband are safe now, living in a place that makes them happy. They owe it so much to sweepstakes, to those people who inspire them to join sweepstakes, and of course, to the person who bought the sweepstakes over at eBay. Despite not being a popular win, the driving lesson certificate was still easily bought out.

Waiting for the Other Sweepstakes Win

Kyms66 and her husband are now waiting for the other prize –the Visa Card – which they hoped to receive today. They are looking to use it to pay the movers and some of the little things they need for their new home.
