The majority of people who enter sweepstakes online are grateful for the chance to win a prize for free. If you think about all the other games of chance either online or in other forms that require a fee to enter, free online sweepstakes are pretty cool. I know quite a few people who regularly spend more on scratch and lottery tickets than they ever win. These people keep on buying those tickets no matter what.
Sweepstakes Directories like SA are the culmination of many people who dedicate countless hours looking for sweepstakes to post. These sweepstakes are shared with all the members for free. This is a great privilege to have access to all these free chances to win. There are some however that are always looking for ways to manipulate their odds.
I have been involved in some contests where voting or referrals were the way to gain entries. It was obvious that the system was being manipulated by a few and I decided to stop entering or referring that contest. If you are thinking about trying to cheat or have done it in the past, please consider the great privilege you have. There are thousands of sweepstakes online and millions in prizes. Plenty for everyone to win their fair share of prizes.
I absolutely agree with your post, and also personally refuse to enter contests in which the winner is determined by public voting. However, I will enter contests where judges make the decision because that’s fair. There’s nothing worse in my mind then reading the frantic posts of vote pimps trying to get total strangers to vote for them in some sweepstakes.
I love SA and have noticed the speed being better and really appreciate everything everyone does to make SA such a great site, I also do not care for the voting contest and feel they are not fair. Another area I see abused is entering for everyone in your family, your dogs, aunts, neighbors and anyone else you can think of , and then to make matters worse, if they win the prize is never given to the supposed winner, but kept by the person entering everyone. I realize none of us are perfect and all make mistakes, thanks for reminding us there is enough for everyone without cheating
