We all have our favorite TV shows. Personally, mine is “Deadliest Catch”. Whatever else is going on Tuesday night, I can guarantee you that I will be planted in from of the Discovery Channel at 9pm, waiting to see what's in store for the crab fisherman of the Bering Sea. I have never missed an episode, and have, in fact, seen many of them quite a few times. However, the new sweepstakes listings are always good for introducing me to shows that I may have missed.
Lately, one of the shows I see frequently mentioned is “True Blood”. I don't get HBO, so I know how I missed this one, but it looks like something I would like with convoluted storylines featuring vampires, faeries, and synthetic blood. At the time this was posted, at least seven different sweepstakes were running featuring “True Blood” prizes. It would be nice to win one of the DVD sets so I could pick up the show from the beginning. I would also be delighted to win a MacBook, exotic vacation, or even a t-shirt. There are a lot of good “True Blood” prizes to be had.
AMC's “Breaking Bad” is another show that I have not watched. It's on season three already, so I guess I have to hope for yet another box set if I want to catch up. There are also sweepstakes for 80's retro shows, foreign shows, and plenty of other tv shows I somehow just missed. Luckily, if I enter plenty of sweepstakes, there's a chance that I can learn to love some of these new (to me) shows.
