Before the internet the only way to enter a sweepstakes was by postal mail or telephone. This limited your chances because not always could you have access to these sweepstakes. Phone in or telephone sweepstakes also require you to be listening most often. This is sometimes called “listen and win”.
The Internet changed all of this. In the early days of the internet there were very few online sweepstakes or contests. I and my wife frequented a personal home page to find a few online sweepstakes to enter each day. This was very limited and you had no way to keep track of your sweepstakes. Soon sweepstakes directories starting appearing online.
This changed online sweepstakes for every one because your odds of winning dramaticly increased with the ammount of online sweepstakes you entered. Marketers and Advertisers also started loving promoting their products or services with online sweepstakes rapidly because this was the “new frontier” for sweepstakes. Fast forward now to 2011 and online sweepstakes is a huge craze with thousands of people logging in everyday to enter online sweepstakes and contests.
