We are now featuring local sweepstakes to help you max out your sweepstakes entries and help you have access to sweepstakes that are only open to states and communities that you live in!
One of the reasons that local sweepstakes are so hot right now is the time of year! Everyone wants attention towards their businesses and services and this means that a lot of local business in your community will be hosting contests, sweepstakes and giveaways!
Here are some of the highlights of Local Sweepstakes:
- They are generally only open to residents of that state, city or county
- They may feature local services
- They may feature goods or services that are specific to the needs of that community
- They generally have better odds of winning!
Tips for enter Local Sweepstakes
When you look at local sweepstakes, you'll want to double check that you meet all of the specifics. For instance if the local sweepstakes is for Texas, it might say that you must reside in Dallas/Fort Worth or it might say that you reside in Tarrant County. Take a minute to note any specifics you might need to qualify for to enter.
Once you know that you meet the specifics then fill out all the of the entry form specifics and complete the entry form.
Other area specific terms
Some sweepstakes have been getting really specific lately and requiring things like that you have a drivers license specific to one state. If this is the case, know that you should NEVER have to put your actual drivers license in to enter. Some place in the entry it should ask you to tic a box stating you are a licensed driver or it might say “by entering this sweepstakes you confirm that you are a registered driver in this state.”
Again, never give them your drivers license.
What are some reasons that sweepstakes are so specific?
Sometimes, companies are bringing their products into a new market and will launch a sweepstakes to gain interest and publicity. Also if a product has been losing interest in a specific area, they may also do a giveaway/sweepstake to create buzz.
