Some people love Facebook contests, some people hate them.  I love them because there are some really cool prizes and many people don't want to log in to Facebook or create an account.  This means there is a bigger chance for me to win these contests.  Less competition – more chance of winning.  And for the most part, these Facebook contests are easy to enter.  Some don't require that you like the and others do.  I always ‘like' the sponsor just in case.  Sometimes fine print is hard to read in the rules section.  Facebook contests are just like every other type of contests out there.  Some you can enter daily, some are one time, some are even ongoing.  And again, like other contests, you need to read the rules to find out how you will be notified if you win.  Some sponsors will post it on their Facebook Wall while others will also email you.

Some of these contests have an alternate entry method where you don't have to have a Facebook account.  This link can be found in their rules section.  Be careful to read the rules though because even though some of them have this alternate entry link, they still require you to like them.  I often wonder what these sponsors are thinking because they really should not be listing an alternate entry link if they require you to like them.  To quickly scan and see if you are required to like them, click Ctrl F which pops up a find box.  Type in the word find and let it scan the rules for you.  Then type in the word fan and do the same thing.  If those words don't pop up in the rules, you may enter through the provided link.

Many times, you can get more entries through Facebook contests by referring your friends.  My advice for this is to be sure that you are referring friends that will not mind you referring them.  Many people set up another account just for entering Facebook contests but be aware that having two Facebook accounts is against Facebook policy.  I have read of people getting their accounts deleted because of violating this policy.  Another idea would be to look around our message board and get some friends that love to enter contests.  Exchange friendships with them on Facebook but be careful who you invite to be your friend because the internet can be a dangerous place!  Facebook contests are fun and easy to enter!
