Contests That Don’t Work

We've all had them.  Maybe it's a broken link.  Maybe the sponsor is having trouble.  Maybe our computer has issues.  There are many maybes.  First thing to do is go to other contests and then come back to that one.  Do that a few times and then if it still doesn't work, look under the comments section at Sweepstakes Advantage to see if other members are having problems too.  This is a great tool to use.  If no one else is having problems re-read the rules to make sure you aren't missing something.  Some of the contests are postal only which means you can't enter them online.  Or other contests have restricted states so if you live in Texas and that state isn't listed, you can't enter.

Sometimes contests expire before they disappear into the archives.  For instance, a contest might have today's end date, which is correct according to their rules, but the sponsor might remove these contests from their website at noon on that day instead of midnight like you would think.  These contests will still show on Sweepstakes Advantage until midnight and then they will go to archive.  Some contests require codes from the product.  This is another occasion when comments comes in handy.  Many times, our members will post free codes in the comments section.

If you have exhausted all options, you can always use the report button that is located under each one of our contests.  After you click on this button, another screen will pop up (isn't that lovely that you don't have to hit the back space when you are done reporting? – I love this feature!) and you can explain in short term what happened when you tried to enter.  Our team of experts will try their best to rectify your problem and get you access to your contests.  I also like to use this feature when contests have expired which you will sometimes find in the ongoing section of contests.  Oftentimes the sponsor will let contests go on for years and then drop them.  Reporting these types of contests can be very helpful to Sweepstakes Advantage as it clears up our database.
