Well..That’s an Unusual Sweepstakes Prize

“Unusual” is one of those loaded words like “interesting” that might mean “really cool” or “really weird but I'm trying to be diplomatic”.  Over the years, I have won a few unusual prizes, some good, some bad.  The candy grabber machine?  Big hit, the kids loved it.  Axe Pit-Man?  Not so much.  If this was before your time, a few years ago, Axe deodorant gave away a figure that was kind of like one of the troll dolls…except it was a armpit.  Really.  Actually, the kids liked that too, just because it was so odd.

Last Halloween, I believe someone in the SweepsAdvantage community scored one of those unusual prizes from a horror website.  As I recall, it was a life-sized, realistic tortured dead guy model.  Um…okay.  If you're one of those people who put together an impressive, scary yard display, this was probably an awesome prize.  However, I'm picturing a bewildered sweeper standing over that delivery box thinking, “Great…the one time I wanted the iTunes runner up prize.”

Of course, some of those unusual prizes are the enviable, one of a kind kind.  Any sweepstakes that offers a trip along with a meet and greet for a favorite celebrity has got to be pretty exciting for the winner.  I imagine the new Kraft Lunchables Celebrity Field Trip Instant Win will make the lucky winner a very happy child.

I don't know what I would have done with a prop body, and I don't pine to meet Dwight Howard, Cody Simpson, or Jennette McCurdy.  However, for someone out there, these are awesome sweepstakes wins.

I love your story it is so true but you know what at this moment I cannot think of one prize that I’ve received that I didn’t want or knew someone who could use the object. I’ve been into sweepstakes since 1983 and have won two automobiles (the biggest) and the latest was thw Givenchy Clutch worth $1,305. Now I’d like to win a trip to Nashville which I would keep and use myself. I hope you get alot of answers to your post as I never tire of readong others stories.

Listen there is unclaimed prizes on the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes & I would like to know if ever I could find out if I can be eligible for 1 of those prizes. I would also like to know, that if I am a winner, how will I be notified. Or how can I claim it if I am a winner. Thankyou

Publishers Clearing House administers a number of sweepstakes, each with their own Rules. Read through the Rules for the sweepstakes that interests you to see if there is anything said about awarding unclaimed prizes. PCH will notify you if you are a winners of one of their sweepstakes and will let you know how to claim your prize.
