Sweepstakes Are a Serious Business

It goes without saying that we all love free stuff.  Winning a sweepstakes is especially exciting and there are some great prizes waiting to be won.  Have you ever stopped to wonder how the sponsor can afford to give away so much great stuff?

To attract new customers and keep current ones interested, businesses will run promotions.  A sweepstakes is a kind of promotion.  The sponsor is hoping to catch your interest by showing you an enticing prize.  When you go to the sponsor's website to take a look at the prize, you're also taking a look at what the sponsor has to offer.  You do not have to make a purchase to enter a sweepstakes, but the sponsor is hoping that you like what you see.  Even if you don't make a purchase that day, you may discover a new product or service and remember the sponsor when you're ready to buy.

A reminder:  the sponsor wants you to visit their website to learn more about them.  If you run a ‘bot program that searches the web and enters sweepstakes on your behalf, you're missing out on the chance to meet the sponsors.  Personally, I'd like to keep the sponsors happy so that they keep coming up with tempting new prizes and sweepstakes!

If you are a website or blog owner who is interested in promoting your sweepstakes, we would encourage you to contact us about advertising.   We can help each other by exchanging site links, or you could consider a paid listing to make your sweepstakes more eye-catching.  People come to SweepsAdvantage and SweepstakesPlus in search of great sweepstakes to enter, and we want them to find you!
