Really! How rude you say? It's true. There are contests out there just for women and there are contests out there just for men. Take the Girlfriend Social ongoing contest for instance. You can win great monthly themed girl prizes. You can't get much more gender biased than that can you? Then there is the Ultimate Girlfriend's Getaway. Yep! In this contest you can get a 5 night stay that includes transportation, massages, limousine service and hair and beauty products for you and five friends. Another Girlfriend Getaway boasts of transportation for four for two nights, massages, spa credits, and lunch. And then we have a contest that gives away lingerie! What man would want that?
Are you manly men feeling left out yet? Never fear, there are contests for you as well – especially with Father's Day coming up soon. At City Loan and Pawn, you can win an autographed NFL picture of Kordell Stewart of the Pittsburgh Steelers and an autographed helmet as well! Even Marie Claire has a contest where you can win a shopping spree with a stylist and a Braun shaver. All the hot chics will be running after you if you win this one! If you are into Nascar, you could win two tickets for you and a friend to the Nascar Sprint Cup Series. You can't get much manlier than that!
The good thing about many of these contests is that, even though they are gendered towards either the male or the female, there is no restrictions about entering them. So if you are a woman and want to enter the Nascar Sprint Cup Series contest for you and your significant other, enter away! No one will care even though it's a salute to the Military Father's contest. Or if you are a man and want to win your significant other some hot lingerie, head on over to Girlfriend's lingerie and enter their contest. Who knows? You might make some lucky lady happy. My point is, even though some contests are gender biased, very few say men or women only so enter away.
Sometimes I am surprised I miss all these sweeps, but then, I mostly do not read about them as much as spend my time submitting them, I should stop more often.
