Did you see TLC's “High Stakes Sweepers”? Overall, the profiles sweepers arent as wacky as I had expected, though I'd say they were more “extreme” than I am. One thing I noticed in most of the profiles is that sweepstakes enthusiasts get their famlies involved in the hobby. While the initial reaction may be sceptical or unsupportive, once those wins start rolling in, the family quickly develops an appreciation for sweepstakes.
Two of the individuals profiled on “High Stakes Sweepers” were shown buying products that featured sweepstakes. One of them did mention that you always need to read the Rules and can enter for free by writing away for free entries. While I definitely stand behind supporting the sponsors by buying their products, I do think that the show focused on purchasing the products because it is more dramatic to rip open a cereal box than to request a code.
One of the sweepers on High Stakes Sweepers expressed a preference for mail in entry sweepstakes rather than online entry sweepstakes. However, all the High Stakes Sweepers did rely heavily on the internet. Since everyone profiled spent hours a day entering sweepstakes, I am surprised that none of them mentioned sites like SweepsAdvantage.com that are fantastic time savers. It makes me wonder if these people don't know about our site and find sweepstakes through search engines, or if they simply didn't mention that a site that gathers multiple sweepstakes for you is a huge asset.
I did find last Sunday's episode of High Stakes Sweepers to be interesting viewing, and will put in on next Sunday night while I'm entering my own sweepstakes.
Yes, I watch it and I like it. I started doing sweepstakes about 3 wks.
I dont bother to enter sweepstakes that advertise “free” then part way into entry find out they require a minimum purchase from one or the other company–I dont finish them, put them on my AVOID LIST, and seldom if ever buy that product.
I watched the show, too– and was a little shocked at the group of folks who specifically went shopping for products that featured contests (just for the entry, not because they wanted or even use the product)– that seems a very expensive and wasteful way to go about seeking sweep wins . . . IMHO. Didn’t seem like they cared what they bought!
Having Fun
I watched the show and it got me intering sweepstakes hope to get lucky
I watched the show, as wacky as it could get, it has encouraged me to do sweeping the following day after its showing. Good luck to me!!!
I watched the show and it got me interested in intering for sure
I Just Got Started Sweepstaking, But I Havent Won Anything Yet. Im Praying I Do Win, Because My Family Dosent Have Alot Of Money.
Please, Please, Please….im begging that i win
I watched it and LOVED it…the show gave me hope again, even though I enter as much as they do, I don’t win like that….Luck has to have a tiny roll in it.
I watched High Stack Sweepers myself and enjoyed it!
nEED TO SEE THIS SHOW!
Darn, I thought I was a ‘Sweeper’ just spending an hour a day on the net. The postage some pay out could pay my monthly utility bills. But I’m not complaining— I’ve got SweepsAdvantage.com and am doing pretty well, Thank You!!
This is a great site. Brings it all together for you. Alot less time looking for sweepstakes, means alot more time entering them.
