I got so excited about entering contests that I haven't always been reading the small print!

What I failed to realize is that this is a TEAM event, but you can enter as an individual. Also, the event is an hour and a half away on a day when I don't have a car. Apparently, after the event, people hang around to watch music and drink beer at the beer garden and then camp at the nearby campgrounds. Oops! I don't have a tent or the camping fee either! I wrote them and thanked them for the prize and asked if I could transfer the event entry to a friend of mine, but I feel like a jerk for having entered something in the first place when I failed to thoroughly read what the winnings entailed. Has this ever happened to you? Ah, the bittersweet smell of success!

I'm disabled, so I avoid trips/etc. so hopefully never! :crazytongue:
I was really disappointed but I let them know straight away in case they could draw another winner. It made me read the small print a lot more carefully afterwards.
