Worst missed win?

I was thinking about people who miss wins because it goes in spam or they use an email they never check, etc. The worst one I have seen *so far...apparently, when a winery notified by email (and they may have also called the person- not sure) that they won, the winery never heard back from the person in the few days they had stated they would allow! The prize was $30,000! They chose another winner who then somehow refused it or something...and they had to choose a THIRD person who took it! LOL!LOL! Amazing! That was just a few months ago...
 
That was good info. Today I received a call trying to give me a Walmart gift card I had supposedly won but they tried to get my debit info and when I refused they hung up on me and the call was not one you could get the number off of so I can't report them.

That is one of the important rules- Never give out your financial info./credit card or bank acct. info.

You'll never know. Back when (months and months ago), I answered a call that sounded suspicious and didn't listen/hung up...I think that one might have been a win. I'll never know. :cry:
 
I've had only one. Fandango offered prize of 2 Acer computers. I went on vacation, returned home and failed to check email. Missed reply deadline. Not brokenhearted since I've won many more.
 
When I first started sweeping I was getting all sorts of spam emails saying I won and please download the enclosed file, so I just started deleting them without looking... Well, then I started reading about what emails to look for and so on.... I had gotten an email from eprizefulfillment center with a attachment enclosed and I deleted it.. I'm sure it was a winning email with the affidavit enclosed.. :cry: This was last August and I had only been sweeping for a week... :cussing: I so badly want to know, but I have to move forward and try to forget about it.. :whistle: not happening!!
 
:wave: In all the years I have been sweeping I only know of one that I missed out on. I was on vacation and not checking emails. The day after I left to go I had received an email win for $100, but I didn't get back in time to claim it. I now make sure I check emails at the least a couple of times a week while on vacation so I don't miss out again.

I guess, after time, it gets less painful. And we all learn from our mistakes.

Can I ask how you missed that one? I have been entering that one since day one and haven't won yet, but maybe I missed something? :) Do you recall what the e-mail was?
