Won an "empty box" from STAR magazine.

Received a small white box in the mail today with a card that read "
"Congratulations, You are a lucky winner of the ford sweepstakes HOTSHEET sweepstakes. Please enjoy these new mini speakers for your mp3 player."

Unfortunately, the box was completely empty. The package was sealed and contained a smaller white box surrounded by tissue paper but it was completely empty. ; (

Oh well, just when I thought I was breaking a drought! Back to the drawing board!

well I would definitely email them or try to call them if you can find the rules...it was probably a mistake that it was empty.

(I've had 2 wins from them without any problems)

I came home to the same small white box today only mine contained the mini mp3 speakers. I would email them, they goofed. :cussing:

that happened to me from a sweeps and I called them and they sent me my prize

That really stinks!! What a nasty tease, even if it was an accident!! :cussing:

So sorry to hear that happened to you! About the only thing worse would have been if it had dog doo in it or something! :laughing:

I really hope that they straighten things out and maybe give you a nice bonus for the big let down! :sunny:

definitely email them and let them know. I won them too, they are actually tiny and cute. My niece inherited them. She thought they were cool!
let them know, I'm sure they will make good on it!

Well I emailed STAR and got no reply. So I called them today and they transferred me to American Media Inc., who then transferred me back to Star, who then transferred me back to American Media Inc who then transferred me to Star editorial who then transferred me into a mailbox which wouldn't accept messages because it was full. Time to throw in the towel on this one. Not worth the aggravation for a $10 prize.

When it rains it pours! In the last 8 weeks alone....................

I won $100 gift card to Foot Locker in the Popeye's instant win but I'll never collect because my pop-up blocker prevented the claim form from loading. I contacted the sponsor but my inquiries were totally ignored.

I won a Summer Party Pack from McCormick's OLD BAY BACKYARD SUMMER PARTY SWEEPSTAKES worth $75, but I never received it because they mailed it to my old address where I haven't lived in over 2 years. (I have no idea where they got that address) Calls and emails to the sponsor proved futile.

I got 3 matching tiles in the J Crew instant win but got a "Sorry try again tomorrow" screen anyways. (This has actually happened to me about 8 times this year in other sweeps)

Won a Cinch bag and T-shirt from T-Mobile/WNBA but they mailed me two wristbands instead.

And now yesterday's "empty box" from Star magazine. Does anyone have a recipe for removing a sweepstakes curse? ; 0)

AWWW...sorry to hear you're having such rotten luck. At least you're winning tho. Everybody won the speakers but me...lol. May you have many huge wins to make up for the disappointments. :blob:
