Hi everybody. I just won a 50$ credit from Dailylook facebook/twitter contest.Can someone advise me from their own exsperience ? When you win a store credit like that and say you find something for 35$.In my case I found a bag I like can you get them to wave shipping? Also how do I get out of giving them my debit or credit card number ? I just dont know what to exspect and I want them to be free. They are prizes after all. I now have 3 prizes like this to claim and I want to know what is normal? Are you normaly charged for shipping with a contest prize? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on your win! About half of the ones I have won in the past do not include the shipping. Normally, the companys will tell you when you receive the credit if shipping can be included with the credit. If you don't feel comfortable giving them your credit card number, get a prepaid card that you can use for that purpose.

When I have won some gift codes in the past, like a Visa or American Express card, I have gone to Amazon and bought a gift card for myself there and it will stay on your account until you are ready to use it. I love getting those $5 and $10 gift cards but have found that I can save them up and get something I want/need when I have collected a few.
If you feel uneasy about using a gift code, then trust yourself. If it makes you feel better, call their customer support line and they should be able to help you too. You can also visit the trade or sell link in the forums and maybe try to sell them or try to trade for something else that my interest you.

Hi...Congratulations. It's been my experience that the Gift card or certificate is intended to be used like cash. Whatever you buy on line, if there are shipping charges, those come out of the GC amount. I just won an Amazon GC from Ana Stefano and she made it so easy. There was a link to Amazon where I put the GC code in and added that amount to my account. I had also won two GCs to the NFL shop and the first one was a nightmare as they wanted all sorts of info that shouldn't have been needed for a GC. The second one was easier and yes, the delivery had to come out of the GC amount. To me, Amazon GCs are the best as they have almost anything you might want and it's easy to use your GC amount when you check out. Good luck and happy holidays.
