I won 1 of 5 first prizes in Anerican Airliness Sweepstakes, which is 100,000 miles. It was the 1 Million Miles American Airlines Sweepstakes which closed on 1/31/2019 (The Grand Prize was a 7 day cruise for 2 and 500,000 miles.) I was notified by e-mail 8/23/2019.

Wow! Congrats on a great win! Sometimes, it takes larger corporations more time to conduct a drawing and notify winners and sometimes winners do not respond right away and they conduct another drawing, so you just never know. That is one heck of a nice surprise though!
 
Fantastic, should get you to some fun places. I have to ask, did I read your dates right, sweeps ended January 31 and you just got notified in August?? I am surprised it would take that long.

Yes, I was surprised at the length of time for notification. Another forum member offered an explanation in this thread.
