Wins as gifts

How do you all feel about giving prizes as gifts? It seems like "regifting" in a way, and I don't want the recipient to think its tacky. On the other hand, usually if I give a prize as a gift, it is better than what I would have purchased for them anyway. I have always had a lot of anxiety about giving gifts, which is likely part of the issue.

I think it makes things easier, especially if you know they would use it... Takes a lot of thinking, and anxiety, out of picking something out on your own. I honestly don't think someone would find it tacky especially if they would actually use the gift. They don't even have to know it is from a contest, right? If you didn't want to tell them it was a win, you could just say something along the lines of it came free with something you ordered and you aren't going to use it. I would rather give a win to someone who would actually use it than have it laying around. I have not given away a lot of wins but when I have, they are more surprise and interested in the fact that it was something I won, and so the fact that I was giving it to THEM was what made it really cool. :o

I find nothing wrong with gifting your prizes. I always giveaway almost every thing I win, although nobody seems to want the backpack with BIMBO on the back of it!

I'm with you!

I've gifted most of my prizes over the years. It got so that I was keeping hardly any wins for myself. My adult children have, in the past, actually told me that I *WAS* going to keep this or that for myself. But I can't afford to buy gifts of the caliber that I usually win, so they, the grandchildren, or their friends, or my friends get good stuff. I just enjoy spreading the "win wealth."
