Winning notifications by phone

If a company attempted to contact me via phone regarding a win, will they leave a message if I don't answer? I screen all my calls, especially since I use a cell phone and it doesn't tell me who's actually calling. I'd hate to forfeit a prize that way!

I have only been contacted once by phone, but this is what happened with me...we actually played phone tag for a few days....lol But I dont think that is going to be very common, dont know..

I've had both, some left a message and others tried calling back. You have to read the rules though. Some stipulate, like Valpak, that they will only attempt to call you two times before moving on to the next alternate.

Ok, thanks for the info. :)

One more quick question (sorry!!)...am I safe using my cell phone, or will I start getting bombarded with telemarketing calls?

I honestly couldn't tell you. Telemarketing calls usually don't come from entering sweepstakes unless they are ones trying to push timeshares, vacation clubs, etc., and a few other regular ones--very rare though.

We don't use cell phones except to call each other during the day or for use when we're out. I prefer a landline for outsiders.

I only use my cell number for sweeps, just incase I get a big winner call and I'm not home! :crazytongue:
I get an occasional text message and there is one company that calls me every month to make sure I enter for the next months contest  Other than that I haven't had any issues.
