winning but not getting the prizes???

I won a free blooming onion from in April and thank god I kept the email about winning. When I emailed them about it they said I should have gotten it and to send my address again. and still nothing. Then I won Stylewatch from Peoples magazine a purse worth $385. I replied within an hour confirming my address on June 21st. I still didn't get it so looked into the terms which said I should receive it in 4 - 6 weeks. It is now past 8 weeks and still nothing. Are others having this problem or is it my stupid luck. I won movie tickets for a year which isn't in my area and had to decline. Just sick of winning stuff and not getting anything.
 
If you aren't getting anywhere with the website, go to the facebook page and make your inquiry there. Most companies want only positive comments/results on their page and will clear up any problems promptly. Good Luck.
 
I also won a blooming onion and my hubby won a steak dinner from the same sweep ( I think in April ) ... neither of us have gotten anything! I have emailed and no reply! :(
 
well for starters your energy about winning isn't right, be positive, NEVER turn down a win, like the movie tickets for instance; you could of given them away to your coworkers or family or friends which in turn makes you look like a hero. As for your prizes email the promoter and email till you get a response always be kind and thankful; you get more bees with honey rather than vinegar.
 
Well I have been sweeping for a year now.. Woo Hoo... Have won lots of great things and my local post office seems to think my winnings belong to them... Hope that is not the case for you... Good Luck!!
 
Thanks for the responses. I emailed about the purse 2 days ago and no response by the US sweeps company. As for the 2 tickets a week for a year movie tickets, It was worth $1200 so I had to pay taxes on them and our local theaters don't accept them. I asked if I can get 1/2 the amount which then I may use but they said they couldn't do it. Once I paid the taxes & paid for the gas to travel to the theater, I'm losing money. As for the facebook page comment I will try that approach.
