Re: Win?

i know i dont remeber ALL the contests i enter (far too many)...but i do know that i have ---not---entered any that pay off in money thats not US Dollars....so, thats usually a hint that its a scam

Re: Win?

Hubby and I are buying the world tomorrow with all the money we have won from sweeps and lotteries we never entered!

Re: Win?

If it doesn't say your name, is from another country, not in US dollars, and asks you for things like nationality and occupation, it is a scam! :error:

Re: Win?

Scam
I received a similar one the other day
The one I received said it was a Western Union contest, which was very confusing because there is currently a Western Union contest but it came from a foreign Email

Re: Win?

:cussing:

I HATE these scams!
they get my heart pumping and then the big let down!

Bummer.

Re: Win?

Too tired to do a complete fisking, but there are numerous red flags.

Dear Selected Winner<<<
£800,000<<<

Are just a few.

My rule of thumb:

1} Do they tell me the name of the sweeps?
2} Did I enter this sweeps?
3} Is the email address consistent with the sponsor/promo?
4} Is the prize I "won" listed as a prize if it was a sweeps I entered?

REMEMBER THIS!!!..... Foreign lotteries are illegal. They will ask for bank account information, so they can can "Deposit the funds", in your account. I don't think so! They'll put your funds in their account. And, if you ever did enter a foreign lottery and won, IT'S STILL ILLEGAL!!!
REMEMBER THIS!!!..... Sweepstakes Advantage IS legal. Now get busy and win some real, (and legal) prizes.
