so i got a phone call today from saying i won Applause for Paws Giveaway for a Petcube Bite 2 with a treat dispenser given away by

Quince Orchard Dental Specialists.​

However the lady wanted to schedule a time for me to pick it up. I told her that was impossible since they were in Washington D.C. and i am in Indiana, i said no where in the giveaway did it state that you had to pick it up, i know because i actually read the rules. So i won't be getting the prize. They are currently doing another giveaway for a "Vertuo Next" Nespresso Machine, so i just wanted to make everyone aware that if your not close to them you probably shouldn't enter. I'm so disappointed right now.
 
Oh no! I just took a look at their official rules and I also do not see anything stating that you need to pick up the prize personally or be local to their office. However, the official rules do say that they will email the winner, not call:

7. Winner selection and notification: Winners of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing under the supervision of the Sponsor. Winners will be notified via e-mail to the e-mail address they entered the Sweepstakes with within five (5) days following the winner selection.

Were there any email communications prior to the phone call? I always try to ere on the side of caution in case of a potential scam.

Thank you for letting everyone know about your experience! That certainly is disappointing and I'm sorry that happened!! :(
