I have seen many of the sweepstakes that allow Mail In entries state info must be on 3x5 card and any sent in envelopes will be excluded.

How is this legal? In order to enter I have to send all my information on a index card for everyone to see during the delivery process??

In this day and age of identify theft how can these companies require you to submit an entry with all your information so vulnerable??

I skip all of these types of sweepstakes, but it seems like these companies should have to accept an entry mailed in an envelope, no?

Jason - Sweepstakes law & USPS rules allow this & have since forever with postcard entries.

Understandable that sponsors who would rather we purchase their product/service to enter would choose this!
