What do you consider a BIG WIN?

 I was just wondering what a person's idea of a BIG WIN is. In the past, I have won a 7 day cruise, a trip to Vegas and a trip to Universal Studios, a tv, and $4000 in cash over the years - I consider those big wins but they all were around the same ARV of $4000 or less. So now, I measure all my wins around those, and I wouldn't really call a win "BIG" unless it matches or beats those... I see a lot of people who have much smaller wins, who refer them as big, and then there are the really BIG WINS of $10,000, $50,000, a new car, etc. So maybe it is all relative to what people have won in the past. Use to be that $25 gift card really excited me and although I am grateful when I win them, they certainly are received with the same amount of enthusiasm as a vacation or a new car would be!! Your ideas??
GLTA! May the WINS be with you!!

Any win that defrays costs {prepaid VISA, etc.} so I can buy groceries/stuff we needed but couldn't afford, etc. is BIG when I get it, but I hear ya, when I finally { :crazytongue:  } won a biggie of $10,000, I was afraid it would ruin sweeping for me.

Turns out, nope, it didn't. My motivation to enter is to help out my family - as a disabled vet who cannot work, it's my way to contribute.

We had the same stereo system from the 80's, and could never justify the $$$ to replace it, so when I won the BOSE stereo, I was over the moon!!! It gets used daily so I'm reminded daily of what this hobby can provide! That was a lower ARV, but it's one of my favorite wins!

Before it died {OK, I killed it by catching the cord with my foot/leg while getting off my chair and dashing it to the ground  } the DELL laptop was a BIGGIE to me too.

ANY Amazon code win is a BIG win to me because I read {eat} books and there is no $$$ in our budget for them.

So yeah, I guess BIG is in the eye of the beholder!

I think "big" is relative. I just won my biggest prize since starting this hobby a year ago - a $199 kindle fire. I look at that as a big prize because I was looking at getting an iPad for my wife for Christmas, and we have decided that the kindle will be just fine for her needs. So the timing and the prize couldn't have been better and it will make my wife really happy - that's BIG to me!

Sort of self explanatory, IMO. A big win is something you get excited about and feel like is a big win to you, personally. For me...anything equal to or over $100 can be a big win! :sunny:

Exactly...good wording...it's all relative!

I like your answer. It's more about how it makes you feel. :headbang:
